Hi everyone. My mother was recently diagnosed with a very rare cancer that affects about 1,000 people a year. It's called pseudomyxoma peritonei. It has been an journey of misdiagnoses, wrong advice,etc. and now after a laparotomy we know what's causing my mother's belly to get so big. I saw my mother about two or three weeks ago and she dropped a lot of weight. I don't mean to depress anyone on this Easter weekend but a lot of folks are going to church and I'd appreciate the prayers.

I’m going to spend the Easter weekend with my mother. I’m leaving it to petronski to ping all of our friends on FR. I don’t remember everyone’s FR screenname because I’ve not had my morning coffee yet. I’m doing well and the only time I cry is when I feel the wrong person won God’s lottery. Then again, if not my mother then someone else’s loved one.
I told petronski I was debating whether to post this but my mother needs all the prayers, good thoughts, vibes,etc. she can get. The conventional medical treatment is ‘rigorous’ and downright insane (heated chemotherapy applied to directly to her internal organs!) because of the nature of this cancer. I wonder if the doctors are so open to alternative medical/herbal/complementary help because they actually believe or because there’s no hope for her.
I do believe God is a God of miracles. I do believe in the pwoer of the human mind and that there are a lot of things we’re all going to learn through this experience.
Please accept my condolences.I will include requests for your comfort and healing in my daily prayers.
Oh boy I was posting trying to remember everyone’s names and people have posted already!!! Thanks guys. I’m tearing up at the idea that people are thinking about my mom.

Please grant healing to cyborg’s mother, strengthen her through the medical procedures, alleviate her pain, lift her spirit, and make her whole. I didn’t know about your Dad. So sorry to hear the sad news. Prayers for the repose of his soul, and the consolation of those who loved him, especially you...
