Politico Pushes Left-Wing Palin Talking Points
Right Up Front ^ | September 2, 2008 | Aaron Schwitters

"The Politico," an internet website that's apparently popular among the high school and younger set (and possibly run by the same), published an article yesterday titled "Scholars question Palin credentials."

As the headline suggests, this was a very scholarly article, written about the many scholars (four exactly) who have drawn from their vast scholastic knowledge and wisdom and have all uniformly declared that our new Vice President, Sarah Palin, is "the most inexperienced person on a major-party ticket in modern history."

They couldn't possibly be biased, now could they? Media watchdogs have called these "scholars" out.

Politico is (GASP) just another liberal news outlet.

Politico is also oblivious to a few inconvenient truths, if I may use the phrase to describe actual facts. Here are the details they overlooked when the limited themselves to "modern presidents":

Four presidents generally ranked in the top fifteen by historians have had experience comparable to Governor Palin’s prior to assuming office: Franklin Roosevelt, Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, and Grover Cleveland.

Sarah Palin spent four years as a City Council Member for Wasilla, Alaska, six years as Mayor of Wasilla, and two years as Governor of Alaska.

FDR spent just over two years in the New York State Senate, eight years as Assistant Secretary of the Navy, and four years as Governor of New York.

Theodore Roosevelt three years in the New York State Assembly, two years as Governor of New York, one year as Assistant Secretary of the Navy, and less than one year as Vice President of the United States.

Woodrow Wilson spent eight years as President of Princeton University and two years as Governor of New Jersey.

Grover Cleveland spent two years as Sheriff of Erie County, two years as Mayor of Buffalo, and two years as Governor of New York.

Overall, I’d say that Palin’s background is comparable with that of several presidents considered highly successful, even considering that her state has a smaller population than the other two states on the list.

While Obama has been running for office for as long as Palin has been running a state, I find it hard to consider the two tasks as comparable preparation.

One final note: I will be posting this multiple times because I think it is important to get the word out that that her experience is in keeping with previous presidents. I apologize to those who are annoyed by seeing it too often.

The more the MSM and DNC instigate these tactics against the Palin's, the more the public will be drawn to the Palin's side...and the more badly it will reflect on the instigators.

HOW THE PALIN PICK TRUMPS OBAMA-BIDEN

To put it another way, it’s just another Democratic propaganda arm.

This is the same blog that said McCain’s pick of Palin was an act of desperation, when in fact he favored her for months. They just make things up as they go along.

I know I shouldn’t be surprised, but the left’s ability to take the rock-solid truth of something and spew a 180-degree LIE still takes my breath away. How in the H*LL can these people live with themselves? Really. This is completely around the bend.

Governor Palin threatens the entire power base of the left. Imagine Governor Palin with 12-16 years in DC doing what she did as mayor and governor.

The east coast leftist elites will hate Sarah Palin all the more for her University of Idaho connections, and not their leftist ivory towers...the glass ceiling will break AND their leftist ivory towers built on sand will crumble.

The witnesses and friends to Obama’s story are Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Weight, Frank Marshall Davis, and Bernardine Dohrn. Politico and Obama don’t want the witnesses of his life and close friends of Obama to tell Obama’s story....even if he accomplished anything he can’t tell it....

The more I see the left pile on this lady because she is a woman, works for a living, failed to abort her baby, failed to force her daughter to abort her baby, hunts with a rifle and kills animals, the more convinced I am that they are in a panic.

Aren’t democrats for working moms? Then why is her working a problem?

Dont democrats claim to support unwed mothers? Dont they claim that they are pro choice, yet they when the choice is for life, THATS A PROBLEM?

Dont democrats claim that the Republican party is for rich white men? So why do they have a problem when our party shows open support for women? Why do they want to keep a woman from succeeding?

Dont democrats want, “CHANGE”? So why are they so against a woman because she represents too much change?

The dems have called this woman a wh@re and her oldest child a b@stard claiming she was not married when pregnant...but Mr Obama’s mother was not married when he was conceived...so what does that make HIM in their eyes and according to their standards? Better yet..what are they calling his mother??

I wonder if they even see the level of their hypocricy when they denegrate women, namely unwed mothers? The very names they hurl at Ms Palin are the ones they would have to use for a massive amount of their own.

Hopefully they will keep it up and the women in their party will connect the dots and realize that if Ms Palin is disqualified, then so are they. If Ms Palin is to be rejected, so are they.

You're exactly right. The first two things I expect from her are (1) pushing to cut government waste even in popular pork barrel projects that let dinosaurs bring home the bacon and thus get reelected long past their expiration dates, and (2) pushing to get rid of corrupt republicans. I imagine she'll spot her own crooks before she spots those on the other side because she'll work with them more, so the GOP crooks will be the first she exposes. I'm okay with that, more than okay because it should set a precedent to take criminal behavior from liberal crooks seriously in the unlikely(?) event that another Democrat congresscritter has something other than ice cream in his freezer.

This morning as I was listening to one of my favorite local radio talk shows, Armstrong & Getty, you could begin to see a pattern with the anti-Palin callers; They kept saying, “she should be home with her new child, if the the child was 7 or 8, then it would be okay”. I think this is one of the current DNC talking points.

Absolutely.

Politico.com needs to be called “Politboro”, to flag all FR readers that it is just another radical, far leftist vipers den, and nothing they say should be given any credence.

The Left leaning media, which is most of it, are in quite a panic it seems. Why? because Gov. Palin has more experience than Hussein Obama has in his whole body.
I would like someone to write down exactly what has the oreo shown in the very short time he has been in the U.S. Senate other than take up space. It proves that the people in Illinois don't know a darn thing about who they vote for when they voted Obama(who has done nothing but curry up to the underworld of Chicago politics and has become their poster boy). To me, he is a dead beat who really has nothing on the ball. Now there are two of them on the same ticket A dead beat and a drunk who always votes for abortion. To me both of them are abortions.

I believe CBS used the author (or one of them) as a commentator on this topic with one of their talking heads. And of course, as noted above, came out against Palin.

Knock me over with a feather.

I know BS when I CBS.
