The Patriot Room ^ | November 30, 2008 | Bill Dupray

IBD has a terrific editorial pinning the economic meltdown squarely on Fannie and Freddie and their enabling legislation, the Community Reinvestment Act. But it also digs up a couple of little-publicized House bills that would kill this cancer in our economy.

Yes, but as you say, the Democrats won’t let it happen and will revise history through their MSM allies to keep it from the public. We also ought to bring back Glass-Steagall and undo Sarbanes Oxley, and, this is the one that is getting no attention, undo the last few patent acts and bring back the wrapper.

Nothing like closing the barn door after all the horses are out. I would prefer they twist Barney Frank and his treasonous cohorts arms until they admit the DEMOCRATS caused the whole dang thing!

I would really prefer to see Barney, Chris Dodd, Franklin Raines and a few others in orange jump suits as they defend themselves against charges of corruption, bribery, malfeasance and misfeasance...if I left something out, please feel free to add.

These turds were directly responsible for the conditions that forced, yes, forced, banks and others to make bad loans. Given the cover these turds provided, Wall Street greed monkeys were not long in spotting an opportunity.

I want to see a long and deep investigation into all those who were involved. That’s the least this government owes to those who are being asked to pay for its stupidity and cupidity.

Well, well. Lets just see who rises to speak in opposition.

Can you hear the crickets?

Exactly, and if McCain had a pair, he'd have pointed this out as he was voting AGAINST the taxpayer-funded bailout. That single vote sealed his fate. 10 Sarah Palins couldn't have dragged his lame. liberal butt across the finish line.

Couldn’t agree more. And the country will pay for it dearly.
