The MYTH of Israeli Occupation
National Journal/Yidwithlid ^ | 1/5/09 | Yidwithlid

Palestinian representatives are flooding the media explaining why Israel is the offending party in the Gaza war. Their pitch is that Israel is the Occupying power, and there were NO Hamas rockets during the six-month long cease fire that ended in December. Remarkably, those claims usually go unchallenged by the anchor asking the questions. Do they forget that that Israel pulled out of Gaza three years ago? HECK it was in all the papers.

This is the real truth of the "peace efforts" made by the international community. Two years ago Hezbollah attacked an Israeli patrol kidnapping Israeli soldiers and launching a war. They claimed Israel was occupying their land even though Israel pulled out of Lebanon years before. Today, the Jewish state is being called an occupier of Gaza, even though Israel pulled out of Gaza three years ago.

The truth is, they are using the word occupation to describe the nation of Israel herself, from the Jordan to the Mediterranean, and the media refuses to acknowledge the truth:

That’s because the media is complicit and would also like to see the destruction of Israel.

The “Israeli occupation” presupposes that Israel doesn’t even have the right to exist on the land it currently exists on. This tacit assumption is foundational to the whole “evil Israel” argument. The land that Israel “occupies” is its own territory. You buy the “Israel as occupier” argument, that’s exactly what you’re buying.

Hamas are brainwashed troublemakers....they should be driven into the sea. They’re whiners and professional beggars and have contributed nothing whatsoever to the world.

For those that don’t believe in God or the Bible, Israel should raise a lot of questions.

Israel is a postage stamp sized country. It sits on a piece of land that, in the modern world, has no signifigance beyond religion. No oil (no natural resources to speak of), no major ports on its coastline, and with the advent of modern transportation its position as “crossroads between the contitnents” is also meaningless.

There are literally a hundred armed conflicts going on throughout the world over pieces of land larger and more valuable than modern Israel, yet they don’t receive 1% of the press coverage and attention Israel does.

The disparity in the coverage (and world’s attitude) towards Israel is unexplainable. No matter what the event, Israel is somehow portrayed as the bad guy. Does the world cover the ongoing border disputes and skimishes between India and Pakistan (or any other for that matter) in such a black & manner?

The importance attributed to this meaningless plot of land and the onesided coverage defies logical explination. The religious aspect (Jews vs Muslim)? Sorry, there are religious conflicts ongoing throughout the world involving much more important/strategic pieces of land, yet they get none of the coverage/biased reporting Israel does.

The only logical explination is that there is something illogical going on. Or, more specificly, maybe those old tales about Israel being the apple of God’s eye and the focus of the Devil’s anger aren’t so far fetched after all.

Israel is the Occupying power

The trick is that Hamas or Hezballah mean that Israel is occupying Palestine. They will admit to no such thing as Israel. The Jew are settlers with no tie to the Middle east, or anywhere else for that matter. They are Europeans or Americans who are trying to subvert the entire world.

As absurd as this may sound to some, it is, once again, becoming Politically Correct.

As the article discusses, the Arabs living in ancient palastine have no skills other than making war. This one skill they have can be described as very poor since they always lose every military engagement that they have. Sounds to me like they need to take up a new occupation such as working that abandoned Jewish settlement land. Maybe they would make better farmers. Leave war to the professionals.
