This is a very disturbing article about the University Bank in Ann Arbor Michigan. The bank has recently implemented sharia banking, but to make matters worse they have even canceled their annual Christmas party and have stated that no alcohol will be served at after work gatherings.

The bank is clearly discriminating against non-Muslims and more will follow. This is a long term plan.

It happens in NYC all the time, they have after work get together. Chase bank in NYC does it on a weekly basis for all the executives. Usually takes place in a conference room.

Just because you find it offensive does not make it discrimination.

Wait a minute. I have to explain this on a conservative website?

Hi RR2,
It is the other way around and more banks will follow.

The bank is a subsidiary of Michigan-based University Bank, and its leaders say they have talked recently with executives from two national banks hoping to learn more about the business.

Slowly they chip away.

Obviously you do not understand what is happening here and obviously I am not the only one who finds it offensive as some employees have quit. But hey lets have all businesses in America cater to Islam, it is what is best for our future generations. Lets also do away with all signs of Christmas, because it is all no big deal.... dis⋅crim⋅i⋅na⋅tion   [di-skrim-uh-ney-shuhn] Show IPA Pronunciation – 2. treatment or consideration of, or making a distinction in favor of or against, a person or thing based on the group, class, or category to which that person or thing belongs rather than on individual merit: racial and religious intolerance and discrimination.

That BBQ place on N. Main was pretty good. Problem is, I was usually too hungover to drive out there and had to order from DeLong’s.

Complete islamization of the world and institution of sharia law.

I slightly disagree. I don't disagree about the attempt at islamization. I disagree about the end goal. The muslims will only succeed in helping further the Soviet goal of destabilization. Muslims, too, are useful idiots and they will be lined up and shot along with all the others.

Obviously you do not understand that if you find the practices of a private business objectionable, you have the option of not patronizing said business. You can also stand on the public sidewalk in front and try to get others to patronize said business.

If you choose to yammer about "creeping sharia," then you would be better served to choose your targets more carefully, lest you discredit your entire effort.

And if a bank chooses to engage in sharia-compliant banking, remains profitable, and even drives other non sharia-compliant banks out of business, then we have a larger problem.

Your name suits you perfectly I will do what I think is best, and that is not make excuses as Islam slowly gains power here. Not having your approval is no big deal and this is just another step forward for them.

This comes to you from the Home of U. of M. That would be Ann Arbor (A2) One of the most liberal universities in the Nation.

After U.of M. lost a discrimination case about how they selected students and grad students the president of the university said at first she would not abide by the law. Nothing that happens down there supprises me.

Of course you don’t need my approval . . . where did you come up with that notion? I am merely remarking that you have skipped-over a number of legitimate options and moved directly to having your grievance administered by the government.

I came up with it because according to you everything is discredited. But lets move on....

Yes, I believe that sharia law, including sharia banking should be made illegal. Did you see that Tancredo proposed that months ago? It was in response to the UK allowing those sharia courts.

The company I work for had no Christmas party for 2 years by and large due to lack of interest. The company throws really lame parties which most people don’t go to, so they didn’t throw them. Then they got bought. The new company threw a party, it sucked.

And how did that turn out for him? He'd probably have a better chance of making falafel and hummus illegal.

I suppose that's no worse than religion moderators on FreeRepublic discriminating against non-Christians.
