Aside from the Stimulus Package, the Liberals in Congress have something else up their sleeve on their agenda. It is known as the Employee Free Choice Act, but names can be misleading. The premise of this bill is to establish stronger penalties for violation of employee rights when workers seek to form a union and during first-contract negotiation. However, the danger of this bill is laid out in Section 2:

They use lying words to cover their intentions.
They're KIDDING with that headline, right?
I know it by its more commonly used name, The Union Thug Violence Enhancement Act.
The best thing that could happen for employees, owners and America would be to ban all unions. That will help American industry become competitive again.
This is not good no matter where you come from. Unions are free to bully people who don’t sign,,and many employers are more than happy to retaliate against those who decide they want to sign the card.
About the only person not protected here is the individual worker, whether they want a union, or whether they don’t.
This union fiasco should be called “The Offer You Can’t Refuse Act.”
The Socialists in power in the Whitehouse and Congress will ram the unions down the throats of the American workers..
There is no way anyone in their right mind would believe that this card-check provision is a legitimate method by which to advance the fairness of attempts to unionize the workplace. The simple fact is that a secret ballot is the ONLY process by which to assure a proper process.
This sham called card-check is a made-to-order tool for the unions to sink their money grubbing hooks even further into the American workplace.
Help me on this if I am understanding this wrong.
Many unions have become oppressive and a drag on the economy. But thats a big stretch to say that individual employees would all fare better with unions made illegal.
The problem isn’t unions, its closed shop state laws.
Unions really aren’t much of a problem, except where union membership is mandated. But collective bargaining per se isnt the problem. Its that you are REQUIRED to join unions in some states.
Which mean the business owner will want to bring pressure, including termination, on anyone he thinks signed the card. He might not say thats the reason, but nobody, union, OR employer has a legitimate reason to know who signed the card.
Secret ballot, voluntary membership, is the only fair policy.
