Maybe 20 years ago, but not today. I have just as good a chance if not better to get hired without a suit as you would with one. My qualities will get me hired as they always have. I have never, gone to a job interview in a suit, and I have never been rejected unless my qualifications were not sufficient for the position.

By the way I am an engineer, but I used to run restaurants for almost ten years. My reputation was enough to get me hired at some of the best places around. So no, a suit means nothing in my line of work.
