Here is the chilling 911 audio of the call made by a woman whose chimpanzee attacked her friend and brutally disfigured her. The woman is in critical condition. The tape has the hysterical owner asking for help in shooting her chimp to keep him from attacking her too. The owner said she had tried stabbing the chimp but that it had only made it worse. That was the most horrific thing I have ever heard.
Why do people think they can keep wild animals that large? Just because they are cute when they are young doesn’t mean they won’t get old and senile or just out of control.
What in the world possessed this woman to keep a Chimp for a pet? WTH?
I wonder if the owner will be charged with anything?
What kind of power must something have to rip someone’s hands off of their body? Freaky.
According to one of the articles I read on the topic yesterday, the chimp had been infected with Lyme disease. The owner thought the medication had been affecting his behavior.
I thought they said it ripped off her face. Definitely freaky though. What exactly happened to cause this? Why were they in a car with a chimp? What chimp weighs 200#? Remember that show BJ and the Bear? It lasted several seasons and that monkey never got any bigger than a 3 year old child.
Apparently she was making money off her monkey by renting him out to advertising shoots, TV shows, etc.
They probably used a different chimp every season. Young monkeys are often used in ads or shows and then are “retired” to wildlife facilities when they reach a dangerous age or size.
200 pounds is normal for an adult male chimp. They’re very vicious, they have 5 times the strength of a human being, and they fight by tearing off the other chimp’s hands first, then going for his face and his genitals. They have 2 inch long canine teeth. Nuff said!
Why wouldn’t this ding dong of a woman have a gun on the premises. This reminds me of the dope who lived with the grizzly bears in Alaska until one ate he and his girlfriend.
What was the excuse for those two chimps that went ape in 2005 in CA and ripped that guy’s face, feet, and genitals?
I always wanted a chimp. Not anymore. Just horrible.
