Video of the events before John Ziegler was detained at USC, his clash with security and Press Relations, he blows holes in their arguments in seconds..

They said he was blocking the sidewalk??
That sidewalk was empty and about 20 feet wide.
lol.
If he had green hair and was protesting Ann Coulter he would’ve been fine.
But, they're also a private organization on the campus of a private university. Zeigler was told he could film from a specific location. Zeigler refused. A duly sworn officer of the law nicely asked him to obey a lawful order, Ziegler refused. The cops were well within their rights to restrain and remove him. The University could have charged him with trespassing. They didn't (I don't believe)
I don't like it when libs do it and conservatives shouldn't be hypocritical in this instance. I would be nice, however, if colleges and university were as eager to maintain lawful order when conservatives speak at their institutions as they are when libs hold events.
He sounds drunk.
Need 100 more bold reporters just like him to buck the establishment,...nothing about the lady they honored was honorable...she is deplorable, how could SHE get an excellence in journalism when she trashed Palin and produced a program of bias.
That is a symptom of exactly where we are going (are there now?) regarding “free” speech.
I hope there is a mega-lawsuit in this case.
but, but but, so many on here swear that USC is a conservative school!
I DON’T UNDERSTAND!!!
The people who fake the news NEVER want anyone looking behind the curtain...period!
True.
And he was only asking questions. Questions we all have...
Why reward a person who has no clue what journalism is?
Tancredo at UNC.... Norm Coleman at his own house...
private university???
University of Southern California... private??
And this was being sponsored by the NORMAN LEAR CENTER at USC. Hmmm, Normal Leer is a good conservative right?

I'm no fan of Couric's. She a toad. But, I really didn't have a problem with Couric's interview. It's not like she was asking esoteric monetary or foreign policy questions. She asked "What books do you read?" Hardly a stumper. Palin hung herself in that interview. Couric may have given her the rope, but Palin tied the noose and stepped off the chair.
Charlie Gibson, on the other, was contemptuous, condescending and completely out of line in his inquisition of Palin, especially when compared to his interview of Obama just seven days before. Gibson, in his smug pomposity, could show nothing but distaste and disrespect for a sitting Governor and only the second woman to be nominated for the Vice Presidency. It was shameful.
Yes, it's most definitely a private university. I know, the name is deceptive. But, it's not part of the California university system. It's private just like Pepperdine or Standford.
I never knew that. hhhmmmmm.
Surprised me, too, but yes:
Located in Los Angeles, a global center for arts, technology and international trade, the University of Southern California is one of the worlds leading private research universities. USC enrolls more international students than any other U.S. university and offers extensive opportunities for internships and study abroad. With a strong tradition of integrating liberal and professional education, USC fosters a vibrant culture of public service and encourages students to cross academic as well as geographic boundaries in their pursuit of knowledge.Established: 1880
Los Angeles was little more than a frontier town in 1880 when USC first opened its doors to 53 students and 10 teachers. Today it is a world-class research university, the oldest private research university in the West.
Go figure....
And expensive. Really expensive. If you're a SoCal rich kid, and can't get into Stanford or one of the Ivy's, you're probably going to USC.
USC is good school, even a really good school, but it's not a great school. IMHO.
Also, someone said that's it's a conservative school. I couldn't disagree more. It's home to the secular and wealthy California establishment and Hollywood elites. It's quite a progressive and liberal institution, like most colleges.
How much state and federal funding does it get?
