Stupid is as stupid does! RSCC to support RINO Crist in Florida Senate primary...
one man's opinion...

Posted on 05/12/2009 11:35:40 AM PDT by ken5050

Some days you just want to go bang your head against the wall. Do these clowns EVER learn?? RINO Florida Gov Charlie Crist announced yesterday that he will seek the Senate seat of RINO Mel Martinez, who decided NOT to run for re-election. ( because he probably would have lost ) There are several attractive, and conservative candidates who are also in the race, and Crist will have to work to win the primary. But in many of the stories the last few days, we are reading that the Republican National Senate Campaign Committee ( ecstatic at thinking they will now hold a seat they thought they would lose ) have all but decided that they will endorse Crist , and give him financial support in the primary. Hello!!! Remember 2004, when these same clowns gave Arlen the $$$ that let him beat Toomey. Well, how'd that work out for you geniuses ?

TOPICS: Politics
KEYWORDS: cornyn; nrsc; partyofstupid; rino; rinoparty; rinos
When I read stuff like this, I start to believe that the GOP holds no hope for us, and that conservatives will ultimately have to go the third party route. Maybe this is what the Tea Parties are telling us.

So the next time that you recewive a fundraising call from ANY GOP organization, tell them NO!!!..tell them HELL NO!!!..and tell them WHY!!

Send your $$$ directly to the candidates who are the true conservatives.

why does this fund raising group get involved in primaries at all. shouldn’t they be putting their money into the general election?

And that's why they get NO money from me.

They shouldn't be spending any money on a primary.

Wasn’t the RSCC all ready to support Specter the Defector, too?
It’s time they got a clue.

No surprise there. The RSCC was all guns ablazin to support Arlen Sphincter before he stabbed them in the back.

The RSCC is the most worthless organization on the planet.

I agree. I thought they had decided after the PA mess to stay out of primaries. It’s not even an incumbent..it’s an open seat..

John Cornyn is now RSCC Chairman?

And this after him supporting Specter's Republican reelection?

And FOX news, in announcing the decision, said Crist is very popular in Florida. I’m in Ocala, and I don’t know who he is popular with. I wonder what part of Florida Crist is popular in? West Palm Beach?

He’s popular with the tree huggers, the gays and every other liberal group.

He has left this state completely bancrupt.

What an idiot. I just sent money to Rubio.

I heard he owned a boutique in Key West with a “special friend.”

That doesn’t make any sense. It’s the same as saying, I don’t bother voting in the primaries - just vote in the general election. You’re letting other people decide your only choice will be. Don’t donate to unaccountable groups - donate directly to the guy or gal you want to be able to vote for in the end.

I’m in Tampa, and I haven’t met anyone who likes the guy..However, to be honest, Crist is “popular”..(i.e. somewhere between well liked and tolerated) for a pol in this age. And if he is the nominee, we will probably win 60-40. No Dem wants to make the race. However, in an off year primary, only the party faithful will come out, and in the Florida, that GOP base is conservative. Crist will have to prove his conservative bona fides to win the race.

HEY! STEELE!

this $h!t won’t flush....please do a little research and see that you are on the road to ruin. You are slamming your base without the courtesy of a reacharound.

(FR friends...please excuse my obviously furious response to an untenable situation brought on by the Republican party.)

I'm in Ocala too and it appears that he is popular with RINOs. There is a rumor that Jeb Bush might be endorsing Rubio.

Whatever happens with that senate seat, just make sure you do one thing...

Fill that governors office and the state legislative branch with “angry malcontent” right wing extremists. THAT is all that really matters...

We are going to have to beat down the Fedgov with the states. So concentrate your efforts there.

Well why wouldn’t they? They announced they were going to back SPECTRE (mispelling intentional) just a few weeks before he decided to formally become a D.

The RNC is being run by folks who just don’t get it.

I start to believe that the GOP holds no hope for us

When did your education start -- LOL

Direct candidate donations work fine, it's the best, but requires you to do your homework. It is exactly how we defolyated Congress.

I simply won't vote for Crist, he is nothing but one of these 'Glen Beck' progressives running around behind Sheryl Crow, one square.

I assume conservatives in FL are on the ball, finding, backing a real Republican to run? If not, we get Crist and he votes with the Dems each and every time. GET RID of that little fairy forever. He needs to go to Key West, walk Duval Street and cruise for dates. The Republicans need him like they need a hole in the head.

No, they won’t ever learn. What’s more, they don’t care. They are just a pack of power-hungry whores.

The third-party route is a nonstarter; the deck it too heavily stacked against it ever working.

Nothing except Revolution, can save this once-great Nation.

Oh, they get it. It’s a matter of corruption not ignorance. They are trying to disenfranchise conservatives even if it means losing elections. They want a “moderate” to win the primary so we are left with nothing to choose from in the general but two liberals. Heads they win, tails we lose.

Conservatives getting off their backsides and getting involved in massive numbers at every level of the GOP is the only way we will ever take our party and our country back from the liberals Rs and Ds. Simply omplaining about the direction the GOP is taking is not enough.

I’m merely stating the obvious..Crist wins a general election easily. Which is why the primary is even more important. Look, we may not beat him, but by making him face a conservative candidate in a REPUBLICAN primary, we can at least hold his feet to the fire...

Well if that’s what they are trying to do they are doing a piss poor job of it, because Spectre had ZERO chance of getting past the Republican Primary in PA, which is why, and the only why he changed parties.

You can’t disenfranchise conservatives by supporting liberals in the primary, the Primaries are where the conservative wing is going to be most present, if that’s their intent they have a piss poor model.

I always do and they always send another request for money so I can tell them NO again!

Third Party is NOT the answer in my opinion. We just do not donate to the RNC at all and just support individual conservative candidates. Lets just see who runs against Crist in the primary. Might be we can send Crist into early retirement!
