GITMO: The Big Mess

While on whole, I believe that President Obama's speech today was more good than bad, the president continued to insist that GITMO would be closed by the end of January.

To me, the president continues to show not only a dangerous level of hubris but he allows pride to be a deadly sin. The fact is that he made his pronouncement to close GITMO, on his second day in office, with absolutely no plan for how to close it. It's painfully clear that he still has no plan to close it.

Here’s what I don’t get. They’ve been talking about moving the detainees to a Supermax prison in CO (that I understand only has one bed available) where they can have NO human contact. How is waterboarding torture, but locking a guy in a cell in a cold part of the country and denying them ANY human contact IS NOT. Those detainees, and their sympathizers on the American hating left don’t realize how good they have it at gitmo.

...with absolutely no plan for how to...

These words may be taken as the defining words of the Obama Administration and may be used to describe any and all goals and programs articulated by the One.

He is without doubt the most clueless person ever to ascend to such heights of power, it is truly frightening.

God help us all,
GtG
