Katie Couric is another example of why profits take a back seat to political ideology in the newstainment industry.
Couric is an absolute failure for CSB, but she faithfully carries the Democratic political narrative. So, she's handsomely compensated with a big, fat contract.

Couric looks bitter and angry most of the time on TV...not happy and cheerful like Steve Doocy (for instance) looks on Fox and Friends.
