Bill O'Reilly Vs. Joan Walsh: the Shootout
The Provocateur ^ | 06/13/2009 | Mike Volpe

Posted on 06/13/2009 5:36:19 PM PDT by fiscon1

Ms. Walsh was one of the chief critics that accused of having some responsibility for the killing of Dr. George Tiller. Most O'Reilly critics would never actually criticize him to his face so she definitely gets credit for coming in and facing the fire.

The debate started with a critical question from O'Reilly. Does Ms. Walsh believe that a fetus in the third trimester have any rights? It took her a long time to answer the question but ultimately she believes that no fetus has any rights at any time.

A lot of people are critical of O’Reilly, as I often am, but he has heart, as this interview attests. He is rightly outraged at the fact that thousands of babies are slaughtered in in the third trimester by butchers like Tiller. He hammered this woman, who he got to admit that Tiller was her “hero.”

Where the heck were they in Nov?

Many are minorities be they Catholic or Southern Baptist so they oppose abortion. But they love Zero and the entitlements promised them by the dimRAT party.

Though male, I'll never understand how you have things like that going on with your own body and waddle in to an abortionist to "solve" the "problems".

Men are the problem. Ask anyone who works at a crisis pregnancy center. The director of a CPC (for over 30 years) told me that few women want to kill their babies. He said that they're often under pressure from the father to abort, or that they've been abandoned by the baby's father.

Men are the problem....

I hope you're being sarcastic and not serious. That's such a distorted broad-brushed statement that's not even worth getting into it. It's troubling to read it from a regular here on FR.

He isn’t a conservative... he is a pro-life independent. I saw the exchange, she was disgusting, he let his emotions get the best of him, personally I wouldn’t have had her on.

“He said that they’re often under pressure from the father to abort, or that they’ve been abandoned by the baby’s father.”

I didn’t realize it was one of the most common causes, but I should have known. Does anyone, anywhere, under the age of say, 40, even use the term, “responsible” these days? Daddy is busy now is one thing, but “get rid of it”, my Gawd.

My wife married a guy who traveled a lot, usually gone about a week at a time once or twice a month. One day, the police showed up with a warrant for him on bigamy charges. All three of his other wives had been helping to find him with private detectives, etc., to try and get child support for his five other children. She and my granddaughter moved back in before my grandson was born, just after the wife and I had downsized to a cozy little house since the kids are gone. There was never even the thought of abortion around here despite the situation it put us all in.

Regards

That gun control argument was a straw man if I ever heard one. Look, they are violating Natural Law through a violent sadistic act. Abortion has been murder since Cain killed Abel and there is no Orwellian language that can fix it, but Lord how they have tried.

What is amazing is that something like 50% of all abortions are performed on black women.

A powerful website that speaks of a very real racist conspiracy carried out by the white supremacist descendants of Margaret Sanger:

I saw the show! He really went after her and she threatened him.saying he would be sorry. I don't think he heard her because they were both talking at the same time.

When she said that I got so mad and kept yelling, hell no,you are not a Christian of any sort. The church should have more moral courage and excommunicate them when they bring public scandal on to the church!

Slavery and abortion are not equivocal evils....I’m tired of seeing smart folks here make that claim.

It did not behoove a slaveowner in the south or north to kill his slave and in fact there were laws which were indeed enforced against such practice.

Abortion is killing plain and simple...slavery is limited freedom for labor or servitude.

and John Brown murederd innocents as did Nat Turner.

Tiller was no innocent....30-65,000 dead babies...many of whom were viable.

Also, the majority would support a complete ban on abortion, except for rape, incest or to save the life of the mother. This has ALWAYS been the case.

What an improvement that would be!

majority of Catholics have supported pro-abortion candidates for 36 years in POTUS races more often than not

they voted Reagan...I think that’s it since Roe

Before long a Catholic Church defender will post that these people have excommunicated themselves.

Well,...I think of it as gangrene. If they are so rotten that they have “excommunicated themselves” then why doesn’t the Catholic Church do some amputations? Gangrenous toxins sicken the entire body. Instead the Catholic Church limps around dragging this dead tissue along with it.

Slavery and abortion need not be equivocal in their respective evils to say they are both inherently evil and should be eliminated.

And there is no need to try an convince me of how vile a man Tiller was. You're preaching to the choir.
