I guess that'd come in handy if say, you had a long way to go to your target and didn't have fuel to loiter around setting up a traditional bombing run - just wanted to get into the neighborhood, release the weapon, and immediately egress...

A couple years ago, at a town hall meeting (only a few show up here), I recommended to a senator that we Lend-Lease Israel a couple squadrons of B-1s and all the F-17s we were mothballing. Didn't get much of a response.

Israeli B-1Bs...I like that idea very much! It is designed for exactly this mission. Love the B-one!
