Despite the deal with the congressional blue-dogs (now down to only two), this has not been the best of weeks for Obamacare. The bi-partisan, gang of six negotiations are deadlocked, only two of the 50+ blue-dogs have endorsed the deal with congressman Waxman announced yesterday, and on the other side the progressives think Waxman gave up way too much and are threatening to vote no. And if to add insult to injury today Barney Frank got caught on camera telling the truth about the President's public option, its the first step toward a single-payer system (see video).

Some options are looking at taking out the public option and substituting state-run "co-ops." Senate majority leader Harry Reid, in his best Joe Biden manner said“We’re going to have some type of public option, call it ‘co-op,’ call it what you want.”In other words, nothing's changed. If the Democrats can't gain support of their plan, they will just change terminology and re-present.

This plan is not dead by a long shot, it is probably not even critically injured:

Here is a link to the full House Democrat Health Care Plan in PDF. In Section 1233 E & F, pages 426-433, you find the part about mandatory end-of-life counseling for anyone over 65 years of age. Section 152 Page 50: All healthcare services will be provided without regard to "personal characteristcs" which is not defined within the document but is understood to include immigration status.

Section 224 b Page 125: The Secretary shall design and implement the payment mechanisms and policies under this section in a manner that — (1) seeks to (B) reduce health disparities (including racial, ethnic and other disparities).

A lot more provisions now being documented at that site.

Donwload it, read it, study it, then hammer your reps over it and pass it on to all you know asking them to do the same.

Is cash for clunkers the corpse of Obama-care?

This is the best news of the day. Now we can write to our demcrat congressmen and senators and tell them HELL NO ON HEALTH CARE. It the can’t deal with old junk cars the they are not competent enough to have a Gov sponsored health care program..

Say no to Obama care as its another Cash for Clunkers program.
