Representative Kathy Castor (D-FL) had a town hall meeting in YBOR City just east of Tampa August 6, 2009. It sounds like Castor had this meeting planned to exclude protesters that were in opposition to the ObamaCare health care debacle.
I received this e-mail from my County Republican Chairman:

But here is my question: as a member of the military, would I be justified in protecting this Citizen’s rights by standing against these domestic enemies of the Constitution which I am sworn to uphold?
Even to the point of bloodshed?
Two words: Power Outage.

We took an oath when joining the military... Fulfilling that oath is justified.
However... When the “domestic enemy” is the federal government and their minions, please be aware that we will be branded something other than a heros.
But then again, so were the men who fought for their freedom at the birth of this nation.
The cause is just, therefore the actions in support of it are.
..... The proper response to such intimidation tactics has been demonstrated to us by the Left and has been proven absolutely effective:
Yell, scream, make noise. If they try to hustle you out of the meeting hall, block traffic out front. Bring small children, old ladies, wheelchair people - anyone whose mistreatment will look especially bad on TV. Claim brutality, go limp and demand to be arrested. Have people ready to film the mistreatment. Have people ready to be interviewed by the media (and they’ll come; they can’t resist this sort of stuff - it’s too good as a lead for the 11pm news) Hammer and clamor at the front door, loudly proclaim that your rights are being violated, make plenty of noise, make a nuisance, fire up the bullhorns and paint the people inside (who won’t be able to reply!) as oppressor fascists and crypto-commies trying to destroy the future of our children (or whatever moves you at the moment).
Make what is going on outside the media event instead of what is going on inside. They’ll try to ignore you, they’ll try to ridicule you, but don’t give up. Keep doing it. The media will pick it up, because they have so much bandwidth to fill, And the more you do it, the more sympathetic the media AND the public will become.
In short - GO ON THE OFFENSIVE!!!!! Make the Leftists react to you Skewer them with the same Alinsky tactics they’ve been torturing us with for so long.

I have one strategy in my playbook. I will to the best of my ability boycott the products produced by any union I am able to identify these thugs as belonging to.
That is right. People don’t have to obey their orders. Make them get violent and then watch them get carried away in handcuffs.
These thugs are full of themselves. They can be “persuaded” as well.
