The Dear Leader to address nation's school children on September 8th.

President Barack Obama has plans to speak to all the school children in the United States on Tuesday, September 8th at noon. His speech will be broadcast on television. Captive audience? You bet.

Now, this wouldn't be so terrifying if it was President Bush or even President Clinton speaking. Most in the public would assume that the president would be giving a rah-rah pep talk concerning education. With Obama, however, we know that will not be the case. Given Obama's background, friendships and associations with socialists, communists, Marxists, and terrorists, his socialist plans for America, and obvious dislike for his own country, we really have to question what his motives are. Is he trying to indoctrinate our youth? From materials provided by the White House to the schools in advance, it is plain to see that Obama's message is NOT a simple "stay in school, do your homework, work hard." Rather, his speech pertains to....himself. What the school kids can do to help Obama.*** What they like about his messages. How inspirational he is, and blah blah blah..... There are also several recommended activities to do prior to the speech, as well as after.

This is something I could see happening in North Korea. Or something that actually did happen in Germany with the Hitler Youth. Not in America. Please contact your school principal and/or superintendent to see what your school has planned for the kids on September 8th. Many school are opting NOT to participate in this - good for them! Some parents are opting to extend the long Labor Day weekend to include Tuesday. Whatever you decide to do, please make sure your schools know that something like this is NOT acceptable.

Here's the "lesson plan" as dictated from the White House to our schools:

For grades K-6: http://www.ed.gov/teachers/how/lessons/prek-6.pdf

For grade 7 - 12: http://www.ed.gov/teachers/how/lessons/7-12.pdf

From "Critics Decry Obama Indoctrination Plan for Students" by Joshua Rhett Miller/FOXNews.com:

"In general, I don't think there's a problem if the president uses the bully pulpit to tell kids to work hard, study hard and things like that. But there are some troubling hints in this, both educationally and politically," said Neal McCluskey, associate director of Cato Institute's Center for Educational Freedom.

Among the concerns, McCluskey said, is the notion that students who do not support Obama or his educational policies will begin the school year "behind the eight ball," or somehow academically trailing their peers.

"It essentially tries to force kids to say the president and the presidency is inspiring, and that's very problematic," McCluskey said. "It's very concerning that you would do that."

Parents of public school students would also have to pay for that "indoctrination," regardless of their political background, he said.

"That's the fundamental problem. They could easily be funding the indoctrination of their children."

How true. Do not let this type of Orwellian behavior on the part of Barack Obama slip by without question. Talk to your kids. If they do not know what may be planned for them on Tuesday, September 8th, be sure to contact your schools to find out. Let them know your concerns! Remember, this is America - not a communist country - at least for the time being.

(***Updated as of late today, due to an outcry from the public, the Obama White House has dropped some of the wording on it's curriculum that it is providing to our schools. In particular, it has reworded a request that children write a letter on how to help Obama. Check out: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/sep/02/wh-withdraws-call-students-help-obama/print/ to see how the White House altered their original documents.)

The following e-mail was sent to our school superintendent. (Yes, his name really is Dr. Smith. Bruce Smith. I’ve met him.)

I encourage all to send the same:

Dr. Smith:

I has come to my attention that President Obama wishes to make a speech to American schoolchildren during class time on September 8, 2009. I would hope that Hamilton Southeastern Schools would DECLINE to take part in this event. School time is for school children to learn the curriculum set out by their teachers. It is not a time to be pandered to by political figures. I believe this is an inappropriate use of school time no matter who the political office holder is. As a parent of a student at Fishers High School, who is excelling academically, I believe this would be a waste of his time and object to his academic progress being disrupted in this manner.

If the President cares so much about the students receiving an education, the most appropriate act would be to leave them alone in their classrooms and allow them to learn.

Thank you for your consideration.

We have two school districts in our area and both superintendents have said zero’s speech WILL NOT be shown in our schools.

-"Is President Obama inspiring you to do anything?

I ask....

What has this man ACCOMPLISHED in his entire life that would inspire anyone to do anything?

Even with the wording change the whole lesson plan is still creepy dictator worship.

Leftist bloggers call supporters to crash skew related polls.

Perhaps we should return the favor. :)

If the President cares so much about the students receiving an education...

The nation's students are going to need all the education they can get so they can pay off the astronomical debt load the president is heaping on them.

you took the words out of my mouth...it’s flat out creepy.

the left keeps moaning and groaning about the comparisons to Germany’s lulling to sleep before the storm hit and man, if this is not something that you’d see in a scenario like that.

I’ll say this...Just imagine if this was three years ago and Bush did this how big the firestorm and protests would be...I wouldn’t have supported him doing it nor do I support Obama doing it...stay focused on the job of governing, it’s your role, do it.

Ugh...It’s so disappointing and sad to see what our government is becoming...

Here's the "lesson plan" as dictated from the White House to our schools:

For grades K-6:
http://www.ed.gov/teachers/how/lessons/prek-6.pdf

-"Who is the President of the United States?"
-"Why do you think he wants to speak to you?"
-"What is the president trying to tell me?"
-"What is the president asking me to do?"

For grade 7 - 12:
http://www.ed.gov/teachers/how/lessons/7-12.pdf

-"Why does President Obama want to speak with us today?"
-"How will he inspire us?"

-After the Speech
-Guided Discussion:

"What resonated with you from President Obama’s speech? What lines or phrases do you remember?"

"Whom is President Obama addressing? How do you know? Describe his audience."
