Who brought US to this point? Congressional Vote Score Card
Data Source: Government Track US (Tracking the U.S. Congress) ^ | 9-17-09 | Texas Fossil

Posted on 09/17/2009 6:44:11 AM PDT by Texas Fossil

Over the past weeks I have been studying how to identify and graphically illustrate WHO brought us to this point.

I know that much of the blame is rooted in over 20 years of out of control Congress, but the recent meltdown can be blamed on those I consider traitors to the Nation.

This is my best attempt to collect that data.

This table lists the voting record of all Congressmen by state for the Financial Bailout, the Auto Bailout, Cap & Trade, and the FDA takeover of U.S. Food production.

I’m afraid we have some with their hands out these days...especially in the large cities. They give us people like Sheila Jackson-Lee elected to Congress.

Would it be to much of a problem to past your chart on the other thread as well Throw the Bums out?

Thanks!

Will be glad to share the spreadsheet and HTML with anyone who want it. It is a work in progress and I am open to suggestions on improving it.

Have thought about putting a elephant or donkey next to the congressman names. With a bulls-eye overlayed on the “targets”. Problem with that is that the decision is subjective to a point.

Have also contemplated links to opponents in the Primary. But again that takes local and state input that I cannot give without help by state.

I was hesitant to place the chart on the other thread, because of the size. It makes the page load slower and I did not want to hi-jack other’s thread, although it is similar.

Yes, we do have some of that in Texas, but it is still relatively small compared to other states.

Sheila Jackson-Lee is as you stated a good example.

If you look at the dems on the congressional scorecard and click on the congressman’s name there is a profile from the source on political bearing. There are a LOT of Hard Left dems in the cities all over the country.

If the dems collapse the economy totally, they are the ones who are going to be in the most dire straits. The good old boys here in TX can generally provide for themselves if necessary. New York, LA, Chicago, etc. cannot.

If you want to see the damage so far graphically look at this interactive map.

http://www.slate.com/id/2216238/

Sobering consequences from this are approaching as unemployment benefits begin to run out.

TF, Fantastic work!

I don't think the page load time of any html table, regardless of size, links, or complexity is going to rival the size of pics typically posted everywhere. I should have posted here earlier. Really!
Let's try to show people how we can make this go viral!

FOLKS need to understand this is copy and paste. Seen a funny pic you emailed to someone? Or posted something on a blog or a forum?

Point the pointer in the very beginning of the table, the highlighted (usually blue) are then continued to the end of the table. Right click and choose "copy". Minimize your browser. Double click on Notebook, and paste the whole thing. Fractions of a second. Now save as file1.txt and keep erasing it next time, or save as you'll remember it.

The resulting file1.txt or whatever can be imported easily to excel or calc; Open that program. PULLDOWN, Data - Import External Data - Import Data. Default is usually "delimited", if not choose that. Click "next". Default is usually "Tab" if not choose it. Click "next". Click "Finish". Import Data popup should say =$A$1 Click "Okay".

You can add links, columns, devise better charts for defeating the worst offenders, without spending that much time or resources. Post them here or everywhere! Google 'Excel sort' or whatever you need to do.

Shine a light on these repeat offenders who are obviously corrupt but assume they hold safe seats.

Texas Fossil, I've lived in Michigan my whole life. I don't expect that to change because I don't expect the worst. I believe we will make such a difference Washington will begin to answer our call. I have no faith whatsoever in Obomea, but I believe we can strike fear in the hearts and votes of these simpletons we've been sending to Washington.

Get Outraged!

Thank you sir.

I will be glad to share with anyone the spreadsheet or the HTML that I posted, via e-mail.

Like I have stated before this is a work in progress.

I am also open to suggestions for improvement of presentation.

My congressman has a copy of it. I e-mailed the link to a friendly contact in his Wichita Falls office (had spoken with her several times before). She forwarded my e-mail to DC. It took 2 weeks for the DC office to call me on the phone about my e-mail. I made it very clear to them that it was time for the Republicans to find some gonads and deal with this. And if they did not we would deal with it ourselves. Stated that I did not know how it would play out, but that this would not stand. Reminded them of the gathering in DC on 9/12. They know.

It was a 2 part e-mail.

First part about the Honduras debacle and I gave them lots of evidence.

And the 2nd was my Congressional Score Card. It did not go unnoticed.

So many names.

So little rope.

Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

Good ideas. Everything is subjective. Check your conscience and keep it in check the best you can and move forward. I am still hoping for local people to get involved with these charts and start bringing data they gather and their FR names for networking purposes to enhance the 2010 process of taking their country back.

Patriots only 2010!

What if conservative groups and the tea party folks looked up who is voting for the health care plan? Those who are voting for this travesty could be exposed in large newspaper ads purchased by patriotic conservative groups. This would put the fear of G-d in the more moderate Democrats and those who are in swing districts. That would be a very targeted strategy.

Before actually putting the full-page ads in their respective local newspapers, the Dems in these sensitive districts could be given a warning so that they could be stopped before they actually cave in to Pelosi and Reid's pressure. It would be better to threathen them with the ads rather than retaliating against them after they pass that horrible bill.

I HOPE THERE IS SOMEBODY INVOLVED IN THE TEA PARTY MOVEMENT READING THIS. Please try this. It is a timely way to prevent the disaster from happening. It is much easier to prevent the bill than to try to reverse it after it is past. This is a great way to peel away the moderate Democrats away from Pelosi, Reid and Obama.

Great ideas....get something started now. FR should be able to get behind a great idea like this. There is no leader amongst the conservative groups. You have to do the foot work and get your idea to people who can help move the ball forward. We the people have to step up to the plate. We as a society are so use to “others” leading the way. It is apparent “others” have lost their way. It is up to us. Don’t doubt yourself or your ideas. Get busy and do whatever it is you are led to do and keep doing it. I wish I could give you a phone number or link to click on to move this forward. We are going to have to start to think like the colonialists or the wild west settlers. A spirit of independence and ingenuity is necessary.

Thanks for your work. My guy is voting correctly.

Sadly, Texas today isn’t the Texas it once was. Far too many liberal tree huggers moving down here trying to take over.
