Here is a video report from the Values Voters Summit today, where Gov. Mike Huckabee was the winner in the 2012 Presidential Straw Poll.
Mike Huckabee cruised to an easy victory in a presidential straw poll taken among attendees at a social conservative conference, beating a group of four other Republican contenders by an over two-to-one margin.
Huckabee, the former Arkansas governor and a 2008 presidential candidate, won with just over 28 percent of the 597 votes cast by attendees at the Family Research Councils Values Voter Summit. Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney was the runner-up, narrowly edging out Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, former Alaska Gov. and Vice-Presidential nominee Sarah Palin, and House Minority Conference Chairman Mike Pence (R-Ind.). The four all received about 12% of the vote. . . .(VIDEO)

Mike Huckabee did massive spending increases in Arkansas, as well as presiding over the destruction of the GOP there. HE IS THE LAST PERSON WE NEED FOR PRESIDENT. YUCK!
The Huckster will not get my vote EVER.
By value voters it means they did the poll at 99 cent stores
It would have been interesting if you had a one on one vote between him and Citizen Palin. The sad part is this just encourages him to run when he simply has NO CHANCE of winning.
Huckabee and Romney? It’s obvious that the “Values Voters” do not represent a conservative wing of the party... they are a bunch of statists.
Romney lost...
How sad...
:)
Romney only has AIG, ACORN, the truthers, the DNC
and the MSM helping him.
And Romney has some chits on Obama,
having worked against Gov.Palin and the GOP
during Election2008, to put Obama in the White House.
Wonder if Obama and Romney worked with ACORN
at the same time?
Don’t worry. There may not be an election in 2012 ;-)
More seriously, Huckabee needs to keep his job on TV.
Evangelicals are calling the shots in the conservative movement.
I’ve about had it being left with luke warm choices such as this....
How is it that the left can elect the left-most Senator and then continue to complain he’s not left enough, meanwhile, the conservatives offer up some middle of the road appologist who thrives on “reaching across the aisle”.....?
victory at 28%???? ahem...
This list of potential GOP presidential candidates is like seeing the same Rubbermaid tub of Mac & cheese with tuna rewarmed and put on the table for the third time.
Time for fresh faces who do more than pretend to be for smaller government and personal freedom.
Isn’t there a tent meeting revival missing its Elmer Gantry?
I consider myself an evangelical, and even I know that having evangelicals dictate the next conservative move is trouble.
Looks like the have to start really early to pick our candidate for us.
Wouldn't it be a lot easier to just run rino McCain again.
I think Sarah was the only one not there, so 12% is pretty good. See is going to win in 2012.
NO to Huckabee!
NO to Romney!
NO to RINOs!
Whoever the Republican nominee is we have to support them. The main objective has to be GETTING RID OF OBAMA!
