Sorry. The link in my previous reply was botched. Here’s the link to the Global Warming articles:

I guess I should have added a /s
It's a gradual progression. Almost as if by design.
When they realized that the Earth hadn’t been warming up for the last 6 years, and had actually begun cooling.
I mean, seriously?!? Is anyone skeptical that the climate changes? These people are pathetic.
When they realized that the public wasn’t buying it anymore.
There is always NATURAL climate change occurring.
When the sun decided to calm down and have no sun spots almost two years ago. The last mini ice age the sun had no sun spots during that time and millions died because of it. I’m not afraid of global warming it’s allowed mankind to populate the earth for the last 10,000 years. If we have an ice age billions could die and Al Gore nor anyone else can do a damn thing about the sun.
about a year or so ago when algore got caught up in a blizzard on his way to a “global warming” speech...
Considering how the same numbnuts were howling about the world soon to be overrun by a massive ice age only a few decades ago, this evolution of tag words for the latest economic destructionism plan is in keeping with the usual pattern.
I'm still trying to figure out when global cooling became global warming!
Will, then, I’m sorry.
I come across folks all the time who haven’t heard about global cooling. I mistook you for one of them.
They had to once they realized that Gore-Bull Warming was becoming laughable and as they realized that the ice caps were actually growing in size and thickness.
Now they need to alarm the populace about fluctuations in the weather.
So the leftards don’t know if the world is warming or cooling, but they are absolutely positive that it is YOUR FAULT!
You’re gonna pay for this...
Actually, it was in 2004.
See Michael Crichton’s “State of Fear”. He documented the switch in his Novel. His protagonist complains that he can’t sell ‘Global Warming’ in the winter. Thus the name change.
The Governments web site switched in 2008.

They make this bald faced claim:
“The phrase ‘climate change’ is growing in preferred use to ‘global warming’ because it helps convey that there are changes in addition to rising temperatures.”
The National Academies

They conveniently leave of any dating information fro when they made their change.
Quite a while ago; here’s Joe Lieberman (August 1, 2003) San Francisco Chronicle
“For too long, the debate on climate change has been at a stalemate: On one side are those calling for deep cuts in greenhouse gases, whatever the cost. On the other side are many business leaders who have downplayed the global-warming threat, fearing new regulations will cut their profits and their payrolls.”
The term "climate change" was a godsend, a miracle of Madison Avenue; never mind that the term makes no sense.
It's like saying "Fight ambient light," or "Fight Albedo."
The lunatic fringe, who wholehertedly supported and embraced inanities like "Environment Now!" from VW buses reeking of grass fumes, just ate it up.
After a couple of years, James Hansen, Al Gore and their flying monkeys fully embraced the term. They figured if they couln't really undertand the term, the average American idiot voter probably couldn't either.
Unfortunately, they were right.
Me? I will continue calling it "Climate Change" until the hucksters are all doing jail time, or until they are all shamed into permanent retirement.
It's not possible.
At that point the earth would be a dead planet.
Me? I will continue calling it "Global Warming" until the hucksters are all doing jail time, or until they are all shamed into permanent retirement.
