Well, this is it!

The headline says they are going to vote on the health care bill on Saturday night around 8 pm. I just can’t believe this is happening. I’ve heard the Republicans don’t even have a copy of the bill yet. The Senate bill is 2,074 pages. You know no one has read it. We know it’s full of entitlements and lays the framework for another bloated bureaucracy that will wreck our economy. We’ve all seen the Leninist quote, “Medicine is the keystone of the arch of socialism.” I’ve seen polls where 60-70% of the American people do not want socialized medicine. If this passes we’ll have to put up with the smirks of Pelosi, Reid, Schumer and Obama as they will then feel Amnesty and Gun Control will be slam-dunks. Do you realize what kind of country we will have then? A dictatorship, that’s what!

What can we do? We can burn up the phones and faxes today and tomorrow. Contact your Senator by calling the U.S. Capitol Switchboard at (202) 224-3121. A switchboard operator will connect you directly with the Senate office you request. Further contact info Here.

We can demand the Bill be read aloud. Those that can, please show up at the Capitol today and tomorrow with your signs and give them the message that we do Not want Socialized Medicine! I would like to see a 9/12 Rally type of response, but I realize people are busy and working (as I am tomorrow) and can’t just drop everything to be there. Those in the District area – if you can, make an appearance, even if for a short while.

I was watching the series on History last night, the WWII in HD and started to cry when the old vets started to talk. I was especially touched by the Nurse June when she described her experiences. I then thought personally of losing an Uncle in WWII, (a sniper got him on Leyte), a brother-in-law in Vietnam, (a sniper got him as he was riding on a tank in Quang-Tri Province), and the eleven other guys I knew who were killed or injured in Vietnam. All of these people died fighting tyranny in one form or another. Have all the men and women who have died for this country, from the War of Independence to the present day, died in vain?

I then snapped back to thoughts of the Obama and the Health Care vote. Now we have a Marxist President who’s fundamental goal is to completely transform the fabric of the United States into a communist country. Socialized Medicine is one of the first steps. I then fear they will push Amnesty for illegals, Cap and Trade, and God forbid, Gun Control. At what point should we take a stand? Should it be now? Should we tell the senators that a vote for socialized medicine would start an Armed Revolution by 100 million Americans? Where is the line in the sand? Can we afford to wait until November 2010? I honestly hope we can. .

When the house bill passed a few weeks ago there were some on here that said that the senate would never pass the bill. Some took issue with my comments about the fact that the democrats would do what ever it takes to get this bill passed in the senate. It WILL happen. The two houses will reconcile and we ALL will be in a world of hurt like never before.

Why do they have to do this on a Satursday night? They couldn't take care of this today or Monday?

No, they are counting on most of America tuning into the hockey, basketball or college football games, hitting the bars, having parties - in essence, doing what Americans do to forget about work and pretend the country isn't going to H*ll in a handbasket.

I can’t believe Americans would do this to fellow Americans, let alone our own Government. I remember Ted Kennedy saying “YOU DOUBT MY PATRIOTISM” and now I can emphatically state YES! YES, you freakin’ POS!

That is what these dirt bags have been up to behind the scenes these last couple of decades. People of faith and America needs to prepare for a new history. George Washington and Ben Franklin despised this day, but it is up to us now.

We have lost America.

Have all the men and women who have died for this country .. died in vain?

The Eagle of Freedom dines on the flesh of Patriots and needs periodic meals. Those who have died for this country did so to preserve freedom & liberty for their peers and families.

The Eagle is hungry again; this time the enemy is domestic rather than foreign. How can or will the Patriots respond?

From BuckeyeMcFrog on another thread: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2390841/posts?page=9

A caller on the Hugh Hewitt show last night made the excellent suggestion that the Republicans should announce now that if elected in 2010 they will Repeal this bill if it passes in ANY form. The majority is going to be so steamed at the Dems for ramming this down our throats it would catapult them to unbelievable numbers.

Hey, I like that idea. When we can get through, tell that to Congress if they want to even be considered for reelection!

Just to clarify.. The vote on Saturday is not to pass this bill. It’s a procedural vote to decide if the bill can go to the next step - which is debate.

Keep the pressure on your senators!

Semper Fi!

The constitution is only 30 pages of printouts, The law of the land.

WTF is with this 2000 page BS.

The founding fathers were so much smarter than any judge or gov. official we have today.

Anyone who votes for this sh!t needs to be baned from politics.

They are NOT voting on the bill. They are voting on whether to proceed formally with floor debate on the bill.
