Proving the validity of the “Law of Unintended Consequences again,” Anti gun groups are unwittingly helping to boost the sales of the FN Herstal 5.7 pistol, its ammunition, and high capacity magazines, by asking Obama for an import ban on them.
The events of the last 13 months have shown what happens to gun, magazines, and ammunition sales when Americans have good reason to fear draconian changes in our gun laws.
Never failing to further their agendas by using tragedy, 27 anti gun groups have joined together to blame the gun, the ammunition, and the high capacity magazines for the Fort Hood killings. Never mind the mass of evidence that points to the fact that Hasan is a fanatic, Muslim lunatic, and a murdering, Jihadist. Never mind the fact that Hasan was, by all appearances, on a mission "for God" to kill.
Never mind that he probably would have loved to have done the killings with a more traditional Muslim Scimitar, lopping off heads in the Sharia way, or would have used any other weapon he could lay hands on...if he didn't have a FN handgun. Mass murders have been done in Asia with knives.
Never mind the fact that all of his victims were helpless, were unarmed, were in a “gun free zone”...
Never mind that, except for the M.Ps, the entrance guards, and during training, loaded guns are absolutely prohibited on the base.
Never mind that murder and assault are against the law.
Never mind that Hasan knew he would face the death penalty for his murders, if he survived, but preferred his “72 virgins.”
This group has written the following letter to President Obama, asking him to ban further importation of the FN Herstal 5.7, the pistol used by Major Hasan at Ft. Hood...

If we're going to ban something, how about banning the Islamic Fascists and other thugs (which would rightfully ban a large portion of the democrat party including the Kenyan in Chief) from entering the country in the first place.

Just yesterday I was looking at the FN website. That 5.7 is a mighty fine handgun. They claim it can defeat one inch of kevlar and the bullet tumbles upon entry causing more internal damage. Swat officers like to carry one as an extra sidearm. Ammo is quite expensive though and I think you can only get it from FN. Prices of the gun vary, depending on the model, from about $1,000. to $1,400.
He can do it. Imported guns can be banned simply by decreeing that the 5.7 has "no legitimate sporting purposes".
That's too bad. I'd want something that uses common ammo so that if TSHTF, I can confiscate the ammo from enemy casualties and use it.
That would create quite the delemna in Obambi's mind, where capping US military personnel might be considered "sporting". I base this on his obvious disdain for the US military, as well as his reaction to the Ft. Hood event.

Nevermind that the ammo that gives the 5.7 its reputation is not available to civilians and wasn’t used at Hood.
The point of 5.7mm was to be used in both the handgun and the P90.

Tabari 7:97 The morning after the murder of Ashraf, the Prophet declared, "Kill any Jew who falls under your power."
Ibn Ishaq: 327 - “Allah said, ‘A prophet must slaughter before collecting captives. A slaughtered enemy is driven from the land. Muhammad, you craved the desires of this world, its goods and the ransom captives would bring. But Allah desires killing them to manifest the religion.’”
Ibn Ishaq: 992 - "Fight everyone in the way of Allah and kill those who disbelieve in Allah."
