Here is video of former John McCain Campaign Manager Steve Schmidt on "60 Minutes" trying to hurt Gov. Sarah Palin by saying she was repeatedly "inaccurate" in statements she made during the campaign, which forced the McCain campaign to have to correct her statements. Schmidt is reportedly pushing a new book coming out about the campaign.
Listening to this pathetic jerk makes it very clear why the McCain Campaign had no chance for victory. Schmidt was the wrong person to run McCain's campaign, and knows he is finished as a Campaign Manager for GOP candidates. He's trying now to cash in by trashing Palin. Somehow I don't think his book will come close to the sales of Palin's book!
This is a preview of the full interview Schmidt did with Anderson Cooper on "60 Minutes" which will air this Sunday.
Speaking of "inaccurate," Anderson Cooper can't even find the state of Indiana on a U.S. Map!

That’s easy. He’s a hired man. None of these people have real full-time jobs, they float from campaign to campaign as political operatives who are hired on the basis of name recognition and track record. They have no loyalty or ideological positions, they work for Republicans, Democtrats, and Independents alike. They work in an election for a candidate they opposed in the previous election. They’re whores! But knowing what they are makes it easier to understand why they do what they do, as despicable as it is.
Just ignore Schmidt. He’s probably unemployable based on his handling of McCain and Palin sure as hell isn’t going to hire him to take out the garbage. (although it might be a nice gesture, just to see him grovel)
0bozo is STILL inaccurate in statements he makes today. 0bozo called the Christmas Day panty bomber, “an isolated case” when in fact, it was organized by a very active Al Quaeda cell in Yemen, who have sworn to send in even more suicide bombers to kill Americans.
” which forced the McCain campaign to have to correct her statements. “
Well Steve Schmidt still needs to be corrected on every statement he makes. Every statement he makes is full of inaccuracies.
“Schmidt is reportedly pushing a new book coming out about the campaign.”
A thousands dollars says this loser's book doesn't even make the Amazon top 100.
“I hope his book FAILS.”
It will.
See my post # 22.
I’m reading through Palin’s book right now. Its pretty clear that Schmidt is a bit of a dirtbag. In this video he tries to prop up the trooper gate story. Pretty pathetic Steve.
The question is whether Palin will endorse McCain in the 2010 AZ senatorial primary. If she does, that will definitely affect her political ambitions in 2012. I certainly will not support anyone who is supporting McCain in the primary.
Sarah succeeds again. You can not exist alongside Sarah Palin if you are a RINO, ungrounded in your belief system, or a closet liberal. She will cause you to expose yourself.
I don’t remember these corrected inaccuracies he talks about and I don’t remember the Dems talking about them. I guess she must have been inaccurate though because her statements didn’t fit into RINO Schmidt’s view of what a Republican should sound like.
If accurate?
http://texas4palin.blogspot.com/2009/08/sarahpac-donates-to-portman-graham.html
“Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s SarahPAC has donated money to the campaigns of Sens. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Orrin Hatch of Utah, as well as to Republican Ohio Senate candidate Rob Portman, according to a Friday filing with the Federal Election Commission.”
“The exact amounts of the contributions were not reported, but Palin had to list the names of candidates she had financially supported to make SarahPAC a bona fide political action committee.”
It had already been widely reported that SarahPAC contributed to Senators John McCain and Lisa Murkowski. Former Governor Palin’s PAC recently had to reduce its donations to each those campaigns from $5,000 each to $4,800 each in order to qualify as a “multi-candidate” political action committee, but the technicality has now been satisfied:
“According to the report SarahPAC filed on Friday, she crossed the five-candidate threshold on Aug. 12 with a donation to Portman. SarahPAC gave to Graham and Hatch on July 14.”
do you have a source for that number? I’d be genuinely curious.
Do you have a link confirming the Palin donation to McCain? I have been looking the usual sites like opensecret.

I hope that situation gets handled before it comes to a primary challenge. Sarah can’t win there. If she endorses McCain she loses support of some conservatives, if she doesn’t, the media will trash her for biting the hand that feeds her. Normally it wouldn’t matter what the media said, but the public doesn’t like ungrateful people. She obviously owes her national prominence to McCain. She never would have been able to put together the money for a national campaign because she doesn’t have corporate donors and wouldn’t have the popular donations without the exposure that the VP race gave her.
My guess is that it will be solved by A. Hayworth not running or B. McCain not running. An endorsement of McCain means loss of much support of the base which could transfer to general election apathy. No endorsement of McCain would probably lead to an assured nomination but problems in the general election. This isn’t up to Sarah, it’s up to Hayworth and McCain. If there’s a primary in AZ, Sarah loses.
My advice to Palin would be no endorsement or an endorsement of Hayworth. An endorsement of pro-amnesty, pro cap and trade, anti-drilling in ANWR McCain would seriously damage Palin's future political ambitions.
Schmidt and Wallace are both disgusting pigs. I still to this day dont understand why Sean Hannity keeps on having that witch on his show
I agree on Schmidt and Wallace. Folks are seeing Schmidt for what he is, but it seems Wallace is still respected as a political strategist. I don’t understand.

Oh yeah - Like Scottie McClellan....wonder how all that love from the left is working out for him nowadays?
