Sometimes someone can use a line or reasoning that is so out there...so far beyond the pale, that they deserve some recognition, tonight is one of those times. Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), who is chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, released a statement on the Massachusetts Special Election that fits in that category, it gets the award for the DUMBEST Democratic Party Spin off the Night. Rep Hollen's reason for Coakley's loss, you guessed it.George Bush;

Actually I think Steny Hoyer takes the award for saying today that the reason why Coakley is losing is because people are angry at the Republicans.
Rush and Hannity should make a list of the top ten of these for publication
Go Dubya!!! LOL.
No contest. This is also the same moron calling for reconciliation yesterday.
I used to live in MD and both of these idiots have the combined intelligence of a gnat. Their spin will only enrage the voters more and cause more defeat for themselves.
They don’t make Democrats any dumber than the ones found here in Maryland.
Hoyer, Van Hollen, Mikulski, Pelosi (a Baltimore machine princess), Cardin.
I could go on and on.
MSNBC is the best comedy show on tv.
Damn, that’s just funny, I don’t care who you are. Howard Dean - the gift that just keeps on giving.
and a one and a two and a ...
Bush's Fault!
Well hell, the connection should be obvious, Scott Brown drives a pickup truck, George Bush drives a pickup truck and I'll bet Sarah Palin has driven a pickup truck.
Never underestimate the "Pickup Truck" thing ;^)
Oh, it's even dumber than blaming Bush. Here's what Van Hollen said: President George W. Bush and House Republicans drove our economy into a ditch and tried to run away from the accident. People trying to replace Ted Kennedy should probably not talk about leaving the scene of an accident. |
I think what was running up Chrissy Matthews leg a year ago is warmly and wetly running back down his leg tonight.
Hows that change working for ya now Chrissy Matthews?
I think the award goes to Howard Dean, who blamed George Bush for the loss, then said that people who blame others are losers..but he just blamed Bush for the loss, so isn’t Dean calling HIMSELF a loser
He will have to share it with Howard Dean who said on MSNBC the Coakley loss was perhaps Bush’s fault.
And Dean writes his own prescriptions too !!
The statement that the dems have been focused on “repairing the damage done to our economy” is laughable. If by repairing they mean pulling the plug then yes they have been repairing our economy.
As a Maryland resident, I hope the nuts on the hill keep up their inane remarks. Maybe we can coakley Van Hollen, Steny, and Cardin, et al. [The latter whom hopes to pick up the pieces and the Speakers chair when Queen Pelosi is dethroned.]
Except I believe MD is bluer than MA... they at least have 1/2 of the electorate smart enough to be unafilliated.
