He should have just said “I am saving myself from further embarrassment from my party”.

To quote the late ‘70s Rock Icon Freddie Mercury: “Another One Bites The Dust.”

Rush is convinced that he's thinking about challenging Obama. Rush might be right. But, I don't think that there's anyway a white guy from Indiana can unseat Obama for the Dem party nomination. Bayh would get a taste of the power of minority politics.

Obama can get caught in the oval office with farm animals - with video - and the blacks and Hispanics won't abandon him. With such a grip on such a large percentage of minority voters, Obama can't lose. The only possible exception would be Hilary, who might be able to build a female insurrection inside the Dem party, but I think that is even highly unlikely.

I sincerely pray you're wrong...especially if many of those Blacks (of which I am one, but did NOT, I repeat NOT vote for Zero) and Hispanics find themselves without gainful employment and out on the streets. If anything they will HAVE to learn the hard way There's No Such Thing As A Free Lunch.

I wish I was wrong, too. Unfortunately, the last poll (found here) that I saw that sampled the black vote - just before Christmas - showed that his approval amongst African-Americans to still be very favorable.

The only caveat that I would add, is that the exit polling from the VA governor's race showed a significant decline in African-American support for Barack Obama, at least in the blacks that voted in Virginia that day. Perhaps there's some hope.

I would imagine that decline is most likely among business owners and military personnel (though there are still some in uniform who are just as equally clueless as many civilians, especially when it comes to Democrats gutting military spending in order to bring down the deficit, i.e., the Clinton Budget Surplus Myth).

But I'm afraid that you do have a valid point, particularly here in California: While 70% of Black voters polled supported Proposition 8, many of those same voters pulled the lever for Obama. Schizophrenic Voting.
