CPAC Now to Be Known as TPAC

What’s expanding faster than the federal government? CPAC! Last year the diminutive crowd of a mere 8500 overwhelmed the traditional venue, the Omni Shoreham in Washington. This year, the conference was held across the street at the ginormous Marriot, which also became overwhelmed when the crowd swelled to over 10,000.

About 5000 attendees were college students, which accounts for the freakish straw poll victory by Ron Paul Perot.

Growing even faster than the federal deficit or CPAC, is the Tea Party Movement whose presence was felt throughout the convention. Conservative ideals have always been appealing to most Americans. The problem has been too few Republicans have been able to articulate conservative principles and even fewer who practice them. Respect for the sanctity of life, smaller government, strong national defense, lower taxes and greater personal liberty-normal people love this stuff. What we have trouble with is finding candidates who cannot only express those goals; but, also have a track record of standing up for them.

More like LPAC (Libertarian) after this year’s fiasco. I don’t see a whole lot of “Tea” in that bircher, Paul, Pride filled event.

We’re you there?

Help us out here. The news reports are confusing to those of us who for various reasons, we were out of town, unable to keep up with the event. What I’ve heard does sound kind of superficial and kooky...

Yes, I was there from late Thurs afternoon until the very end. It’s impossible to attend every event & there are often more than one event going on at a time; the key speakers are in the main ballroom with others scattered about.

There were definitely more college kids this year than last and the crowd was bigger. I missed the gay basher & I’m glad for that.

I fully expect the msm to spew a lot of lies about this year’s CPAC; this one scared them silly.

I must add, not only will the msm trash this CPAC; anticipate more troll activity than usual on conservative sites. This event really elevated Tea Party values within the establishment. The crowd was happy and enthusiastic.

Libtards are very, very afraid.
