Gotta love Nancy Pelosi...she is the liberal gift that keeps on giving:
Youve heard about the controversies, the process about the bill but I dont know if youve heard that it is legislation for the future not just about health care for America, but about a healthier America, she told the National Association of Counties annual legislative conference, which has drawn about 2,000 local officials to Washington. But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it away from the fog of the controversy.
Yeah. Like other commentators have said, this is like getting a walk through in a house after you buy it...or test drive a car after you sign on the dotted line.
Pelosi's strongest characteristic has been her ability to strong arm her caucus into following her lead. Well, comments like the above, and numerous corruption charges, have dramatically weakened her power. First came Charlie Rangel, a close Pelosi ally that had to be thrown under the bus. Then, Eric Massa lost his mind. And now, Pelosi wants her caucus to vote for a bill that they haven't even seen yet?
Barack Obama, for his credit, keeps fighting the good fight. But it is ironic. Obama spent the last 8 weeks or so not campaigning on health care, and his poll numbers had stabilized (not rebounded, but you take what you can get). He totally focused on the economy and jobs in his State of the Union Address, and it seemed to buoy him somewhat in public polling. But now, Obama goes out over the past week campaigning for health care again...and his poll numbers start dropping again. Rasmussen now has Obama's approval at 43%, a new low.

While Nanzi Pelousy is legislating health, maybe someone in congress could offer an amendment for me to lose 5 pounds. That would be great.
This comes amid increasing enthusiasm on the right, and among the Tea Partiers who started the revolt in the first place. Organizers are setting up numerous events, from townhalls to virtual pep rallies, to get the enthusiasm back to its peak.
All this comes amid evidence that enthusiasm on the left is decreasing, not increasing. At least 23 Democrat House members that voted for the health care bill before are currently undecided, according to the Hill. And this division comes just as all 41 Republican Senators have signed a letter to Harry Reid saying that they would uphold the Byrd rule on reconciliation, making it that much harder for Democrats. The unity on the right, and division on the left, speaks volumes.
Then comes the news story that the strategy that was planned for reconciliation may not be legal. Apparently, the Congressional parliamentarians will soon rule if reconciliation can be used on a bill that the President has not yet signed. The parliamentarians could significantly complicate matters by requiring President Obama to sign the bill into law before Congress could revise it through an expedited budget process. The constitutionality of the Democrats strategy is questionable, at best.
Well, what do these diverse array of facts lead us to? It leads us to a Thelma and Louise moment for Democrats. Democrats have always had the power to pass Obamacare. The question is, were they willing to commit political suicide to pass the bill. Obama is already distancing himself from Senate and House candidates that he knows are dead men walking. He is looking at 2011 and beyond. But for many Senators and all of the House, only November matters. Are they all willing to be lemmings and jump off the cliff? I doubt it
but these are liberals we are talking about.

Code Red - House Target List on Health Care
The National Republican Congressional Committee has published a target list on health care. In addition to continuing to contact the five Tennessee Democrat Congressmen, you can go http://www.votervoice.net/link/clickthrough/ext/94697.aspx to contact some of these targets. Much of the talk following Obamas announcement has focused on how to defeat this second bill through reconciliation, but that is misleading because the first step to defeating Obamacare is not by concentrating on defeating the fixer bill but by defeating the Senate bill in the House when it goes to the floor for an up-or-down vote on Thursday, March 18th.

When Biden is out of the country, I guess Pelosi assumes the role of making stupid comments. Are the two really twins?
....she was watching the news the night before last and saw Nancy Pelosi say: "We need to pass the Health Care bill in order to find out what's in it". Mrs WBill came off the couch and yelled "That's the STUPIDEST thing I've ever heard!!!!!".
Dems are really, really in trouble on this one. What's unbelievable to me is that they've no clue how deep they're in it.
We had to destory the village to save it.
We have to pass the bill to find out what’s in it.
Some statements are so stupid on their face they are indefensible to the point of laughter and riducule.
Most of my friends are moderate Democrats...and they are pretty disgusted right now.
November is going to be a bloodbath.
