Drop Your Health Insurance and Play the System
The Voice of Reason ^ | March 23, 2010 | Texas Peartree

Posted on 03/23/2010 1:49:01 PM PDT by Texas Peartree

I just found a way to save you and your family a lot of money! Once Obamacare is enacted, simply drop your health care coverage. Why? There are two related reasons. First, an insurance company cannot refuse to cover you simply because you are sick. Yes, I understand that insurance is meant to protect you on the chance you become ill, and waiting to pay premiums until you are actually sick is grossly unfair to insurance companies, but so what? Didn't you hear what the President said? Insurance companies are dens of iniquity. They deserve to be bankrupted . . . or at least to move to the brink of bankruptcy before be bailed out by the federal government. Wait, can the United Auto Workers also run Aetna?

Second, the fines for not having insurance are capped at $750 per person, or $2,250 per household per year. That fine is cheaper than the coverage I now purchase.

Now you may ask how this would work since you would still need to pay for medical checkups and the like out of pocket. Wrong! That is the best part. President Obama has already told us that doctors are greedy bastards who perform unnecessary surgical procedures in order to make more money off of human suffering. Clearly only a fool would go to a doctor and trust his judgement. If you must seek medical attention (perhaps you need a snazzy government-subsidized abortion?), simply go to a charity hospital and claim you have no money, or are just visiting from Mexico. Or, even better, go to a private practice doctor, but stiff him on the final bill. How dare him think you should pay for the right to medical care!

And do what I despise that others do? no thanks.... I have dignity. Call me stupid, but I like to sleep at night. I can think of something else we can do that will benefit freedom...

Why punsih others for what Obama and his band of thieves have done. And why pay the govt a tax instead of paying insurance companies when it is Obama’s untimate goal to drive them out of business.

Rush had his insurance insider on the program today. Employees of health insurance companies are looking for new jobs now. They expect the companies to go belly up in a couple years.

Hint: Expect premiums to triple after the first of next year.

I plan on it. No reason not too. I’ll save $1800 a year.

I intend to do everything in my power to "crash" the obamacare system. As soon is this goes into effect, everyone should go to emergency room, every time they have a hangnail. Make multiple appointment to "discuss" weight loss, smoking cessation. etc.

Flooding the system with bogus doctor visits on top of the 30,000,000 new people in the system and 50% of doctors will push the system past the breaking point. My goal is cause as much pain for the sheeple so that they will be rioting in the street for the repeal of obamacare. Sometimes tough love is the only solution...

I am very upset that this Obamalosi nightmare was passed. Insurance companies going out of business is exactly what they want to happen. It is the next step to the single payer system which is their ultimate goal!

How sad for our country and the free enterprise system that was destroyed by the dimwits!

Exactly. Posters saying they are going to do this is exactly what the Commies want. They are counting on our anger to make us foolish. They know people very well.

Will you be the stalwart trying to hold up the system so that others can abuse you and treat you like a slave? This system must crash. In the end, don’t let your sanction prop up a system that hates you.

They are counting on our anger to make us foolish. They know people very well.

Congressman Louise Slaughter has a different take about the violence and anger. “I think it says the misinformation that people were given has worried them to a frenzy.

They're worried about their jobs and their health insurance and to have this perpetual whipping up of untruths has been very bad," she said by phone from Washington.

Slaughter has been at the center of the push for reform. Last Thursday she received a chilling recorded message at her campaign office. “Assassinate is the word they used…toward the children of lawmakers who voted yes."

The FBI is now investigating.

Vanderboegh denies his blog advocates anything but vandalism. “How ambiguous is it if I say break windows? Am I saying kill people, absolutely not."

The opposite of Single Payer is cash payer. Dont think that you are defending freedom by staying with your private insurance carrier. Insurance is now a tool for risk redistribution. Dont pay for other peoples problems.

Drop out. Pay the fine. Find a GP that will see you for cash when you catch a cold and need prescription. If you get catastrophically sick, then you go back.

“I intend to do everything in my power to “crash” the obamacare system.”

Absolutely agree. It’s the Cloward-Piven strategy. The conceit and flaw of Cloward-Piven and marxism is that it presumes that the destruction of the capitalist superstructure will result in communism. That’s wishful thinking on their part. I think that a more likely result would in a restoration of freedom as people realize what caused the problem and remember what worked before.

Thats what I’ve thought as well. The nature of conservatives is to try to hold on to what we have. Well as of Sunday what we have is worthy of destruction. We are now Restorationists.
And the restoration wont start until this system collapses.

A return to cash-paid healthcare for everything short of catestrophic illness would be the fastest way to drive down healthcare costs.

Satire or not, I was already planning to stop direct deposits of my paycheck, cancel my healthcare coverage and drop off the grid as far as possible and still earn my current wage.
Going back to the old days of cash and money orders to pay bills.

PING for interesting satire.

Of course, if the insurance companies go bankrupt from people gaming the system guess what? The federal government will be forced to take over the insurance functions, i.e. single payer universal health care. Hmmmmm. Maybe they want us to do that.

Exactly. Don’t let the gubmint let you stiff the hardworking men and women. I guarantee that if you pay in full, you’ll never want for care in Obama’s america.
