If you are Muslim you can opt out of the Obamacare health care reform laws with no penalties

Isn't this nice. If you are of the Muslim religion, you don't have to give all the new Obamacare healthcare reform regulations and penalties another thought. Because the concept of being compelled to participate in such a healthcare program offends Islamic sensibilities, Muslims are specifically exempt.

As a matter of fact if you are Amish, American Indian or a Chistian Scientist you do not need to participate or pay the taxes associated with healthcare reform. That means not having to be forced to buy healthcare insurance, not paying the taxes or the penalties if you don't get it. Nice!

Here is what the regulations say:

EXEMPTIONS FROM INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY REQUIREMENTS.

—In the case of an individual who is seeking an exemption certificate under section 1311(d)(4)(H) from any requirement or penalty imposed by section 5000A, the following information:

In the case of an individual seeking exemption based on the individual’s status as a member of an exempt religious sect or division, as a member of a health care sharing ministry, as an Indian, or as an individual eligible for a hardship exemption, such information as the Secretary shall prescribe.”

Senate Bill, H.R. 3590, pages 273-274

There are several reasons why an individual could claim exemption, being a member of a religion that does not believe in insurance is one of them. Islam is one of those religions. Muslims believe that health insurance is “haraam”, or forbidden; because they liken the ambiguity and probability of insurance to gambling. This belief excludes them from any of the requirements, mandates, or penalties set forth in the bill. More...

This means that if you are Christian and abortion is against your religion tough luck.

If you are Jewish tough luck as well.

We wonder why these certain groups get a free ride. We also wonder why the largest religious block in North and South America the Christians are discriminated against like this. Very odd indeed.

There is a lot of food for thought here and a lot of ways to object to this healthcare bill isn't there.

Seems that Medicaid is OK for Muslims, they don’t make any payments into it. It’s just “free.”

Muslims are specifically exempt

Obama has dhimmified all the infidels in one fell swoop. Surprise, surprise.

And 0bama wants us NOT to ‘question his christianity?’

Zer0bama is a Muzlem, through and through.

Next thing, he’ll tell us not to question his citizenship . . . oh, wait. That already happened.

Building them prayer rooms and foot-washing basins at taxpayer’s expense is also unconstitutional. But then again, Islam has been treated like a privileged subculture ever since 9/11 by our cowardly politicians.

Why does this feel like a Westernized Shariah dhimmitude approach? If you want your cheap healthcare, convert to Islam.

Catholics should at least have an option — after all, they put 0 in the WH and it is because of the Catholic Bart “Babykiller” Stupak’s deciding vote that hellcare became the law of the land.

This is no different from Sharia. Obamacare is the Jizya.

And people laughed when I said Obama is a muslim?

I don’t agree.. While being a Quaker or 7th Day Adventist did earn a deferment during the draft, those believers still had to pay their share of tax, even that tax which was spent on making or deterring war. These believers may be able to make a case that since their religion forbids taking part in health insurance, any penalty does not apply. So while their normal taxation goes to fund medicare, medicaid, and federal employees, they cannot be forced to pay a penalty above that taxation. In court. I think they win in a slam dunk.

If this is the case it would make sense for American Indians not to have to pay taxes, but then I’m certain it would only exclude registered Indians(not an easy thing to do). In the treaties made by the US with American Indians, one of the items they recieved was health care in exchange for their land. Even so they still got screwed.

I assume then, that when Muslims show up for health care at the doctor’s office or hospital, they will be asked to pay cash at the time of service?

Also wonder: if Muslims do not believe in insurance, presumably they do not already HAVE insurance even if available through their employers, etc. So HOW MANY of the 35 million or whatever uninsured are Muslims and/or are uninsured due to their religious beliefs (will fall under this exemption)?

Then what will be the net number of uninsured still left over due to refusal on religous grounds? If this whole health care reform deal only picks up a few million more insureds... well...you can finish the thought.

This is discrimination on the basis of religion - there is no rational basis for this distinction other than differential treatment of religions based on the content of each individual religion, and therefore this discrimination cannot pass constitutional muster. Just as muslims cannot evade the requirement that they remove things like veils in order to have a driver's license picture taken, the converse (which really applies here) is that the distinctions made are too tenuous and of insufficient weight or merit to withstand constitutional review.

So how do these folks go about getting health care with no insurance? Are we picking up the tab through our forced insurance?

And if we fail to pay (I know it says above that if you don't believe in abortions, tough.) into the system because our conscience will not let us pay for abortions, how do we get medical care?

And if doctors DO NOT WANT TO KILL little growing babies inside their mom's womb, are they allowed to REFUSE?

According to this study, 80% of the Arabs (a fair proxy for Muslims) in the Detroit area had health insurance of some type:
