We now have The Smoking Gun that proves Janet Napolitano, the F.B.I., and the entire national security apparatus of the U.S. government failed to protect its people in regards to the attempted bombing of Times Square by Faisal Shahzad. Napolitano should be immediately fired for dereliction of duty, you ask why, because the U.S. government had Shahzad’s cell phone number yet they did not check to see who he called, who called him, did members of the Taliban or Al Qaeda contact him via that cell phone, all the government did was write the number down, forget about further surveilling him or the number, if they had just done a routine check it could have revealed contacts within Pakistani terrorist organizations, what in the hell is the purpose of a secondary screening if all you are going to do is ask some questions.

It is hilarious you had Charlie Rose and NYPD commissioner Ray Kelly pretending we live in a different world, pretending this is before September 11, 2001 when Al-Qaeda and the entire radical Islamic world declared war on America. They were both sitting there with straight faces, playing the parts of unbiased judges from upon high, Rose acting as if this guy was just some lone middle class American that blew a gasket, Kelly talking about religion in generic terms then saying we don’t know if he acted alone even though he admitted to training in Waziristan, as if Faisal Shahzad attended some prep school and then was off to travel the world on his own, blowing people up at his own discretion.
Why is Charlie Rose asking why Shahzad did it, he’s a radical Islamic terrorist for Christ sakes, why is Kelly playing the part of naive bureaucrat with this generic “hatred of religion” talk

IIRC, yesterday it was reported (on FOX) that the feds prevented authorities from calling the airlines by phone when he was put on the Watch List.
IOW,
1. Shahzad attempts to do a McVey Lite at Times Square
2. After he is ID’d he is placed on the No-Fly List which takes 24 hours to update
3. Feds (aka Administration) tells investigators NOT to notify airlines by phone.
Is it any wonder the talking point was “We wrapped it up in 57 hours.”
Even Shep Smith is calling the administration bullshit out on this one.
Either they have their Ipods so deeply embedded into their brains they have no space to consider things like national security;
or perhap the latest celeb gossip is just too interesting to glance away from in order to focus on other things.
Or, perhaps they are still in college, away from reality of earning real money and actually paying their own bills, so they believe the Marxist claptrap from their tenured loser professors, those countless educrats from K-grad school who are a drag on anything productive coming out of our school system that is useful to our country and liberty.
