"So.. its time to...."
Oopsy daisy, I got the URL wrong. Here is how it should read:
http://thehardtraditionalist.blogspot.com
By the way the Poster’s original url link had a misspelling where two letters were transposed. The original link went to the wrong site.
Your vulgar errant comments addressed to the only Poster on this thread who welcomed the newbie will now be removed.
Apologies to all concerned.
Should have noticed the misspelling (and thought before posting).

Why dogs bite people.
My bad and apologies for gun-jumping, but the pimping
flag remains to be seen as appropriate or not.
Pimp-busting has become a fetish of mine lately.
On his first day here, for his first thread, the newbie Poster lordbasil09 properly placed his own blog article in the Bloggers Forum.
If any of you want Jim Robinson to get rid of the Bloggers forum please feel free to mention it directly to Jim. Until then please consider lightening up on the continual newbie hazing and vulgar comments.
Thanks.
Question:
Bloggers who post a teaser and then divert traffic to their
blog.. for example to view a video the found and embedded..
are just using FR as a business platform to pimp a blog.
Is it bad form to call them out for this? These blogs are NOT on the excerpt list.
Granted, it’s “legal” for them to do so, but surely it’s also
within posting regulations to call them out for it.
Example, going to the blog, snatching the video code and
then posting it in the thread. This short-circuits the pimping
aspect. It may make the blogger mad, but do they really have
any right to utilize FR as a business platform?
Just an innocent question. ;-)
I would have to care about a person who supported Obama but I don’t.
If someone posts a blog article in the Bloggers forum, that's good. That is how it's set up and why we even have the Bloggers forum. Everyone can clearly see that a posted article or link to a video originates from a blog.
If the person posting the blog article from their own or another's blog chooses to excerpt the blog article, or omits the link to a video found embedded on the blog, right now it's left up to the reader to decide whether they want to click over to the blog to read the rest of the blog article, watch the video on the blog or move on to something else.
I hope that answers some of your questions.
Thank you for the response and (at least partial) clarification.
As always, your efforts are appreciated.
Should bloggers be wearing pants when they post?
I'm just curious...
Welcome to Free Republic! Please feel free to join in the discussion on articles that interest you. I like the “If George W. Bush. . .” comparisons that you posted on your blog today. ( Just to let you know that white text on black backround, or color text on black can be hard on the eyes for some of us to read.)
As to the reactions that you got with your first post here, the Admin Moderator addressed it last October...
Mod Lecture Series - Freeper Community Update
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2371466/posts
“The Internet has changed greatly since Free Republic first started. When we formed, few people had their own websites, now, everyone has their own blog. With this, there is an attitude change where someone who doesnt understand how our community works may be more interested in self-promotion than we have been used to in the past.”
“We dont want to change the overall feel of this site- it is about our shared values, not about self promotion, however, we dont want to drive people away simply because they link to their own blog. There are blog pimps who want nothing more than to promote their own sites, but for most people, it is simply how they start out sharing their thoughts on a matter. Encourage these members to take part in existing discussions.”
. . .
“Remember, how you respond to a topic not only reflects your thoughts, but also is a reflection of the community and Conservative values. We need to be an example of positive conservative values when responding to members, especially new ones. As mods, we make a strong attempt to screen all new members.”
“Every new sign-up goes through a period where their posts are reviewed. This helps us eliminate most trolls, porn and commercial spammers, and those who dont fit in with our Conservative values. This isnt a perfect system, but it does help us make sure that by the time a new member reaches the community, there is a greater chance this person is the type we want around.”
I guess you saw what the moderator said at #49 and #54?
I added a comment at #57 with a link you may have already seen.
