Wanna see a really scary movie about WW2?

Watch, “Come and See” from Belarus, 2004...? Not very famous, but...unforgettable. You will agree.

WOW.

I totally agree with your list except that Hitchcock’s early British stuff, The Man Who Knew Too Much (1934) and The 39 Steps kind of lose me.

Independence Day. Somehow that movie never gets old

I can repeatedly watch the Sergio Leone-directed “Dollars Trilogy” films without getting tired of them, for some reason. Also most Kubrick and Peckinpah films.

I forgot to add Back to the Future to my list. Used to watch that one about once a year or so. Also, come to think of it The Christmas Story would be another.

If you like old movies, you may enjoy the Lux Radio Theater
Check out each link from 1936 to 1952.
Many movies you guys mentioned were remade with the original stars for the radio audience.
Really first rate stuff!

And a special link for you, grame, is THE SIX SHOOTER, (or for anyone who is a fan of Jimmy Stewart and westerns)
The sound quality and production value are very good.

The Fountainhead is one of the funniest movies ever made. I literally laughed until I cried the first time I saw it.

You must have not seen John Carpenter's "Dark Star".

My daughter still owes me full price for 3 movie tickets for making me take her to Forrest Gump. We were the only 3 in the theater. In my opinion, one of the worst movies ever. Tied with Hannah and her sisters.
I will watch all the others on your list when I stumble across them though.

I’ll go with:

My Man Godfrey
Maltese Falcon
Strangers on a Train
Citizen Kane
(I know a bunch people already mentioned) The Godfather

My wife would add:
The Scarlet Pimpernel (Leslie Howard)

The 12 year old version of me could see:
Logan’s Run
Mel Brooks’ Silent Movie over and over

Local Hero

This is a nearly perfect film. And if you have never seen Burt Lancaster do comedy, you owe it to yourself.

I used to love watching The Last Starfighter when I was a kid. I ended up buying it on DVD.
