So-called “conservatives” eating their own yet again.

Andrew needs to out the source of the edited video.

Sorry, Andrew, you can’t get away with the sort of crap the Journolistas and their friends in the MSM do regularly.

Is this the site that has a joker as logo?

I totally disagree.

Shirley stuck her head out of a foxhole

got caught admitting her own ‘racist’ actions

then claims redemption thru enlightenment later on

and folk like this make her out as the ‘victim’

go figure.

Those who threw her out of the bunker are the ones that owe her anything if an apology.

How many carefully edited video and audio clips of Rush have been used to tar a feather him?

Yep. I read the full transcript. Her full speech is actually pretty impressive. Well, it’s a better message than any race baiter like Jackson and Sharpton have ever given.

Andrew Breitbart didn’t start the fire - he just reported how hot and bright it was burning.

Remember the embers in November!!!!!

This may all be true - but you cannot ignore the fact that she admitted to harboring racial hatred toward white folks...and enjoyed ragaling her audience with the story and more importantly, the racial tone of the audience who clearly enjoyed hearing about her animosity for the white farmer, her resistance to help, and turning him ocer to one of his own!!! This audience was clearly racist!

Indeed, and with mistakes. Her father was not murdered by the Klan. He was killed (may have been murder, it appears to be murky on details) by a white farmer in a dispute over cows. So, I think this author owes us an apology......

No he doesn’t. He did not fabricate anything, but merely published a “public speach” by a so-called “public servant”. If anyone comes away from Shirley’s words, and most importantly the audience response, feeling clean then they need to check their with their mental health care provider. I always love how even self nuetered pubbies will defend racism when it comes from the left. Here’s a question, who fired her? More importantly, who hired her? Can’t wait to have my health options served by the Shirley’s of the world. Hopefully there will be enough of “my kind” still practising medicine when the time comes.

Breitbart was entirely honest. I saw him on Hannity on Wednesday night explaining quite clearly that the video was a partial video and that he didn’t know what the rest of it showed. In fact he made it very clear that he didn’t care what Sherrod had to say because the issue he was interested in was the reaction of the NAACP crowd in attendance.

I agree with you and others who have said Breitbart did the wrong thing here. The woman was wronged. The transcript and the account of the Spooners totally vindicates her. Breitbart AND Obama acted stupidly.

“So-called “conservatives” eating their own yet again.”

In this case, I’m not sure I agree with this. We conservatives are humans and, as such, capable of errors too.
When we make mistakes, we need to be big enough to admit it.

I like Andrew Breitbart very much....but he should have explained that this was “out of context” or more clearly explained why he was showing these excerpts.

The spectacle of the NAACP saying they were “snookered” by Brer Andy was priceless.

I agree, and so do most of the columnists over at National Review, hardly a bastion of liberal group-think. Also, it reads much better than it was delivered. She a bit of a clumsy speaker, which didn't help her.

Thoughtful and intellectual conservatives have to show some intellectual honesty. Whatever the circumstances are (or are not) of her hiring, her firing was unfounded. Breitbart creates a situation where it will make it even easier for the MSM to ignore more important stories in the future.

The NAAcP acknowledged that they were “snookered by Fox News and Andrew Breitbart,”

Fox and Breitbart are just too damned smart.

Good cop/bad cop is an effective strategy. Breigbart can take it.

Thus, David Frum is correct when he writes: “There will be no apology or statement of regret for distributing a doctored tape to defame and destroy someone.

When a supposedly neutral, instrument of the state (AKA Shirley Sherrod) uses terms such as, QUOTE sent him back to his own kind UNQUOTE, several times within a public speech, even 24 years ago, that supposedly neutral instrument of the state is clearly demonstrating racism.

Shirley Sherrod stated outright in the speech that the issue was about blacks and whites. Andrew Breitbart owes no one an apology for revealing the truth about supposedly neutral instruments of the state.

U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack made the decision to fire Shirley Sherrod. Andrew Breitbart had nothing to do with that decision.

Great. Sherrod is now becoming a saint even though she acknowledges that she refused to help a man because he was white and subsuequently regretted that decision because she learned he was poor.
