I actually agree with you that Pawlenty has a chance of catching on in the primaries. But he’s a wuss who wouldn’t beat Obama and pretty milquetoast on his positions too. I think he and Mitt and to a lesser extent Huck and Newt are worries for the GOP—though the GOP brass wouldn’t so much see it that way.
Yes, I have. He's pretty much a libertarian open-borders type. While I like a lot of his positions that's a show-stopper for me, so I won't be supporting him.
Which is kind of my point. I was intrigued by him, and unlike Palin he has been doing a lot of policy speeches and presenting his opinions on the issues. After a little bit of exposure to his platform, I saw I couldn't support him.
Palin seems to be running a no-issue campaign so far. And when she is occassionally cornered and forced to cough up an answer, she seems to be more or less a neo-con.
