Peggie Noonan needed Ronald Reagan. As long as she transmitted his vision in inspired prose, she was the best of the best. But Ronald Reagan did not need Peggie Noonan. Her once lofty writing style now serves a second rate intellect—her own.
I was amazed at Noonan calling Reagan “an artist.” What poppycock - to use a Noonan word along with “ninconpoop” and “pshaw.” Reagan was many, many things but he was NOT an artist. He was a good, solid working film actor and a political genuis. Peggy is a tired old broad with a really stale act.
