It must be the rent is too damn high party.
I don’t know but Kass makes a strong argument. Residency is to stop people who live out of the city from holding a city office. In his case, he went to work for the President and there’s a public service exception, of course, that fits.
If someone else is residing in your property and you are not roommates, then it is no longer your “residence”.
True, there’s a public service exemption to the residency requirement. Like I said, Kass made a very good argument why this issue is bogus.
