The lesson of 1998 is reflected in those two Rasmussen polls: Don't investigate "birther" allegations or Ground Zero Mosque developers or Reverend Wright, or anything else that would bee seen as partisan. DO aggressively analyze and investigate the devastating financial impact that Obamacare will have on the Republic. If they GOP takes the latter route, then they will do the nation a great service and reap political rewards. If the GOP takes the former route, then they risk awakening the Ghost of Investigations Past, and the failure that he will bring.

they better investigate barry’s BC and SS#.. if he is not a NBC, then all the laws put forth is null and void.. including the HC law
Investigate all of it because it is all bad. No more advice from RINOs.
Burton has never been a RINO. He votes straight conservative. That is why he wins in his district all the time.
The people of this country rebelled at what they perceived as an overreaching GOP going after Clinton for a ‘private affair’ with Lewinsky.
It would have been much better to declare that there was nothing impeachable there and let the court of public opinion try him. But they went after him and he got lots of sympathy instead of the derision he deserved.
Heavens, we wouldn’t want the Republicans to expose Democrat corruption.
That would be partisan.
People elected the GOP to fix the financial mess - cutting spending and stimulating business and job creation. No mandate for these other issues.
That was back when the old dinosaur newsrooms still held a monopoly on the selection, dissemination, and spin of the daily news. Remember, Newsweak tried to spike the story to protect its Democrat president, and it was only because of new media pioneer Matt Drudge that the world found out about the sleazebag Clinton.
I actually do agree with this: people want lots of investigations and oversight into Obamacare, kickbacks, fraud, the czars, racists at the Justice Deparments, etc.
For some people, including many Freepers, only Democrats and liberals can be overreaching. There is not such thing as 'overreaching' if it's done by a conservative.

It wasn’t an issue of the MSM having the loudest voice (although it made the situation worse), it was the overreaching by the GOP. They took it further than the American people wanted them to.
