This is what I hear over and over. Why do the mods allow it, and what is the point of allowing Humbler Gunner to post here at all? He has already been banned at least once. Obviously he he is friendly with at least one mod, and gets special treatment here.
Please define the rules, and I will follow them. But I will not bow down to someone like HG, who is not even a mod. Then please ban him as well, to show us that everyone here is considered an equal. Because right now, that is not the case.

Has Chris done that? If not, why not post the content here on FR for more to see. The link to his site is fine. But why cut the content here if he is really supportive of FR?
Humblegunner certainly doesn't need me to defend him but I sure agree with his viewpoint. Blog pimping sucks traffic away from the community discussion here on FR and is simply a way for blog pimps (not all bloggers are pimps) to use the resources of FR that I and thousands of others DONATE to maintain as a business to make money. That is not appropriate use of our money or the trust the FR community has on the web.
Please reconsider your position. It is quite selfish and does not seem to be supported by the admin moderators.

Furthermore, he’s quite well known in Chicago. Michelle Malkin got her start locally as well. Is MichelleMalkin.com a blog? She links to other videos, she links to other content and yet she’s excerpted here on FR.

I find HG who is not even a mod to be quite selfish, and I will not bow to his demands. Since you donate here, why do you support a person who harasses people everyday? All he does is bring down the site, and all you have to do is look at his in forum posts to see this. Let the mods define the rules, not him. What I am doing is within them.

How is that not supportive of FR?
Does it detract from hits that FR receives? Does it have a negative impact on the money raised during FReepathons?
Is it in violation of the FR posting guidelines? Is there any official restriction against someone linking to their own blog or is it simply a matter of someone else not liking it?
Why is this such an issue for some? Just cause THEY don’t like it?
If you have something to bring to the FR community then BRING IT TO THE COMMUNITY by posting it and discussing it here. You can also, incidentally, provide a link to your blog. Then people can voluntarily visit your blog for further edification and entertainment. That works out for everyone. Do you see the distinction? I hope so. It's not likely to go away any time soon...

Blogs are reciprocal. Chris has not hesitated to link back to FR or hat tip to a freeper. Guess what? Then people from other sites who visit Chris actually come here. That's how blogs work.
Although I no longer frequent the site, I actually found freerepublic from a link from Drudge to Littlegreenfootballs - gasp a blog!

The mods have not defined the rules, and I don’t hit and run. Once again, you why don’t you look at how HG talks to non-bloggers as well. He obvious has mental issues.
I want people to see as much as information as possible on this issue, so I will do what I think is best.

I have no use for true blog pimps, who just link to their blogs and virtually NEVER post comments. I found one a few years ago that posted 17 (IIRC) threads from his blog site alone and not one comment.
I don’t have a problem with actively posting FReepers doing it.
If he is banned, how is he still posting? What is on his page, is from the last time he was banned.
