Is Obama planning on resigning?
http://www.libradex.com/viewArticle.aspx?id=122 ^

It's a legitimate question. When a President (or any leader) makes intonations that they are bored with their job, are under amazing stress from both parties (feeling like they have no allies), and doling out their basic responsibilities to others...one has to wonder if that leader plans on resigning.

That question should be asked of Obama; I'm sure he and his spokespeople will vehemently deny it. But what is the answer to the question?

Check out this video from Friday: It shows a bored and complacent Obama, after mumbling through some kind of statement about the tax compromise; and then leaving the Presidential Briefing Room chock full of supporters...to Bill Clinton. Former President Clinton, who spoke for a half hour on a variety of subjects: taxes, deficit, credit in the economy, etc. And where did Obama go?

He left because he had to go to a Christmas party put on by his wife.

Does that sound like a man that is truly engaged with the responsibility of being President?

Obama doesn't know which way to turn: his leftist ways have got him now facing down a hostile GOP Senate who won 63 seats. But moving to the center will assuredly mark him by the "professional left" as a turncoat. He knows he HAS to deal with the GOP or he gets nothing done, the GOP knows this, and will probably get nothing done. His chances at re-election look very slim, given the lingering unemployment issues.

Obama has never been engaged to begin with as President; he's played more golf than Bush (almost double in 2 years what Bush played in 8), and was never engaged in either the health care battle or the financial reform bill. Both of these were driven and legislated entirely by Congress with almost no Presidential input.

What Obama has done is travel (a lot), throw parties (a lot), play golf (a lot), get a Nobel prize (for getting elected?), give a few speeches...and that's about it.

So the concept that Obama might want to throw in the towel is very real. I mean, right now, what is the point for him? He can't pass any more leftist legislation that he can "put his name on", and he really has no ambition other than to become President.

He does't want to "save the world", he doesn't really care.

Obama's clear abdication of responsibility Friday, of leaving an important briefing to a former President (to go to a Christmas party??) and then walking out, shows that he cares little for the minutiae of actually governing.

Expect Obama to be even more disengaged in 2011-2012 as he realizes with a GOP Senate that he's essentially a lame duck President.

Instead of resigning, perhaps he'll just linger on, semi-retired on the golf course while the economy struggles, world politics continue to be dangerous, and we are still continue our wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. What kind of parties beat White House parties? Top-notch catering.

But then again, by resigning Obama can retire (he's already made millions off his book) and not deal with pesky things like bothering to run the country.

I mean, this whole governing America thing is seriously cutting in to his golf time.

I FIND IT AMUSING THAT HE HAD TO CALL IN THE FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT.

OBAMA IS NOTHING MORE THAN A KID LOCKED DOWN IN THE CANDY STORE.

WHIMPY WHIMPY WHIMPY.

The author loses all credibility by getting his facts wrong. The GOP did not gain 63 Senate seats and does not control the Senate. The House yes, the Senate no.

He’s to narcissistic to resign, but I think it’s open question whether he runs again.

Sick, SICK man. One sick puppy.

It almost hurts to watch him in such mental pain.

Just get it over with; we can put up with two years of President Biden and Vice President Clinton until GOP Regime Change in 2012; it cannot be much worse under those two, than this horrifying national security situation we are currently experiencing while this guy Obongo is clearly, clearly (evident to the WHOLE WORLD)in way over his head.

he might just decide to bail.

Watch the video, you can see how fake he is when he smiles at Clinton when he shakes his hand. A complete empty suit.

Didn’t it come up earlier from one of their progressive ‘historians’ that he quickly loses interest in what he’s doing and wants to move on to something else? A few years teaching, a couple of years in the IL legislature, 100 days in the US Senate. In this era of poster children he’s our first ADD President. Besides another of their worthies stated that his ultimate goal was to be the greatest ex-president.

You’re probably right. It’s good to be the King!

I can't wait to find out how it was that old Bill Clinton got called in to give the 'tax compromise' press conference... Old Bill does not talk on the cheap... and it had to really unnerve BamBamKennedy to take a back seat to old Bill.

I think in the video Bill said that Obama called him and had him fly out. And Bill turning away from a chance to be back in the show? Not a chance?

I cannot for a moment believe that it was BamBam's idea/suggestion to call old Bill Clinton in for help. I would expect that there is a 'middle' person who did the arranging... BamBam is in worse shape than I ever considered if he came up with the idea of getting old Bill Clinton to help him out...
