Just mention Sarah Palin's name and the mean-spirited are sure to show up and show out.

Where have all the “good ole boys” gone on Sirius NASCAR radio? It seems to me that the only one that really speaks my language now during the daytime is Chocolate Meyers. All the rest of the southern boys have been relegated to nighttime duty.

What got me to paying attention to this was the fact that The Morning Drive crew was poking fun at Sarah Palin last week. She is someone I like and admire. It hit me the wrong way when they were making light of her and I got to thinking that these guys really aren’t that much fun to listen to anymore.

I like Sarah Palin and I mentioned it in my blog. Obviously, that doesn't sit well with some people. It wasn't long before I got a response from someone calling me a moron. Isn't that just typical of someone from the far-left fringe?

The far-left fringe fails to understand how to repair failed ideas of Obama&Co. and other socialists so the only thing they can do is call someone a name, children at play.

I know many people who think Palin is stupid. When pressed, they have no reason for saying that (except: "She just is!"). About the most concrete answer I've heard is that Tina Fey made a joke about Russia, and therefore Sarah Palin has a low IQ.

What this really boils down to is Trig. Sarah Palin passed up an abortion and gave birth to a baby whom many people would be afraid to accept. Her courage and her morality show other people how empty their own choices are and how lacking they are in inner strength. They hate her for showing them their own weakness.

I’ll break it to you gently. Trashing Sarah is not just for the far-left fringe.

Just wait until Sarah announces, PDS will have them gnawing off their arms. A whole bunch of them will have a new nickname...’lefty’.

“Trashing Sarah is not just for the far-left fringe.”

You got that right. Plenty of conservatives also jump right in.

You certainly live up to your screen name!

There are other, lesser reasons for their hate (elitism, jealousy, fear of conservatism, insanity), but I too find her decision to have Trig to be the overarching reason for PDS. Especially for the "feminists", for if they practiced what they preached Palin would be an icon to them.

I’ve noticed that people who call Sarah Palin stupid are not too bright. They live in a tiny world that filters out a whole host of information that has been deemed inappropriate to consider. Such is the life of the under informed but over educated liberal elite.

This is typical of stupid people. I had an Uncle(dead now)that had an IQ of about 170. My step father was a sort of dim bulb who couldn't understand most of what my Uncle talked about and after one of my Uncle's visits would always talk about him as if he were stupid. I have noticed this trait in many people.

It’s a funny thing about the not-so-bright: Stupid people are too stupid to know that they are stupid, so they think that they are smart. When I took psychology class some years back, they talked about “different kinds of intelligence.” There is supposed to be some kinds of smart that don’t register on IQ tests, so the theory goes. I believe that it is a made-up theory, so that elitist educators can tell stupid kids that they are somehow actually quite smart, just in a different way. This is how stupid people can come to believe that they are smarter than Sarah Palin.

What is funny to me is the fact that I never mentioned Sarah Palin’s intelligence. I just mentioned that I like and admire her. To me, she is a decent person. I guess the far-left and the far-right both should fear her. She dang sure appeals to a whole lot of us who are right of center.

Yep. And having worked with Down's kids that sort of bigotry makes my blood boil.

In the weeks leading up to the '08 election I sat in a room with a group of people that included a history professor at a small New England college and his wife, also a professor. The husband admitted that he 'liked' Sarah Palin though he had no intention of voting for her. His wife grew sullen at this and he started ribbing her. The wife defended her position by saying "she's stupid."

In response to that remark her husband got a little serious and said "Oh, no. She's not stupid. I actually think she's very intelligent . . . she doesn't know anything!" At that the whole room broke out into various arguments while I, the only conservative and "amateur" in the group, remained silent.

I found his candid comment very interesting. The liberal male professor, no doubt, got a kick out of Sarah Palin's entry into the fray as political theater while having no truck with her on issues. This could not be said of his wife who took her entry onto the stage as a personal affront.

Sarah appeals to many of us "right of center" people out in the country but not necessarily to the "right of center" inside the beltway elites. They suffer from of the same things as the liberal elites. Sarah Palin offers a paradigm shift away from the failed beltway thinking. They don't see it but we do. I believe the tea party folks are the largest pool of independent thinkers in the country today.

The Left can be quite "easy" if you want to have some fun.

I'm always very careful in what I say with my Liberal neighbors -- but it doesn't get me anywhere. I once said, "This unemployment situation is really something, huh?" My neighbor attacked me for hating Obama and said that I was a racist.

To another neighbor, I said, "This economy is really something, huh?" His reply: "Well, what do you expect with a moron in the White House? No idea what makes the economy go! No idea what real people do with their lives! It's no wonder the economy is a mess. And to think we put up with that jerk for eight years!! Well, now that Obama is in there, I think we'll do OK."

You don't have to say much at all. Some folks are all "loaded up" and ready to go!

I’m surprised Kraft Foods isn’t the most expensive stock in the world. Folks have sure drank a lot of Kool Aid in hating Sarah. Most of them are afraid of someone who speaks a language they understand, they just don’t want to face reality.
