The Obamacare law raises or imposes some two dozen new or higher taxes on American families and small employers. Often, these tax increases can conspire together against normal, everyday decisions. Below are all the taxes that would be imposed on a childs dental braces starting in 2013 under the Obamacare law:
Excise Tax on Medical Devices. Obamacare imposes a new tax of 2.3% on medical devices, including braces. While these will be paid by the braces manufacturer, the tax will be passed along as a higher cost of the product, ultimately to be paid by the parent buying the braces for their child. The website bracesreview.com says that braces can cost as much as $5500. This new tax could raise the cost of these braces by $127...

If the white people and the Africans want to start targeting the Sa'ami for taxation, it's probably fair for the Sa'ami to target them as a source of dehydrated pellets for use in fish farms.
This has been common knowledge for a very long time, but the leftists kept getting a pass on how bammy-care was going to REDUCE the cost of medical care.
Only idiots, politicians, and leftists could come up with the concept that increasing the cost to produce something will reduce the cost to the consumer.

What’s with the “Replace”? I don’t want an laternate healthcare-government interference bill.
Best thing government could do for healthcare is to get the hell out of it.
“Replace” my butt!
laternate = alternate
Fat chubby fingers!
We are going to start looking like the British... with buck, crooked teeth. I have one with braces on, one with an expander awaiting braces and the third... let’s just say that it is definite she will need them.
You make a good point, the government should get out of Healthcare entirely, including Medicare and Medicaid. The problem is the whole preexisting conditions issue. As one columnist said, voters are ideologically conservative, but operationally liberal. Nothing gets support for Lefty healthcare ideas like sad stories about people with preexisting conditions not getting insurance. That’s sadly why there may need to be a replacement bill to encourage open enrollment periods. (And I might add, individuals, not everyone would have to pay higher costs.) But that is how far I would go.
