Should I Be Fired for Being a Conservative Teacher?
Conservative Hideout ^ | 1-17-11 | A Conservative Teacher

Often I hear from fellow teachers that I should be fired since I have conservative beliefs. I get emails from these liberals and they talk about me on their blog, making claims that since I am a conservative, I should not be allowed to be around children, I am clearly intolerant of others, and that everyone should be welcome to be a teacher in this country as long as they are all liberals.

That writer could take print-outs of all those blogs, and build a ‘hostile work environment’ case and take it to their state labor department.

The following are **GENERAL** observations about **ALL** government schools and are NOT NOT NOT directed at any particular Freeper!

Personally, I see a real conflict between both being a Christian and/or conservative and being a government teacher.

1) All government schools in this nation are godless in their worldview.

A godless government school worldview fundamentally means that children **will** learn to think godlessly simply by sitting in the godless classroom and to completing the godless assignments. All subjects taught are scrubbed clean of any references to the religious discourses of the philosophers and religious teachers of the individual child's faith.

Two things happen:

**The child learns to compartmentalize their faith into public and private spheres.

** The child learns to think atheistically.

I simply can not see how a Christian can justify supporting an organization that would do that to a child, or assist children in learning to think godlessly.

Also...The children in the classroom eventually learn that to teach children to think atheistically is in utter contradiction to Christian belief, therefore, the danger is that children will believe that Christians are hypocrites who will sell their beliefs in exchange for a government paycheck and pension.

2) If the Christian **does** fully live up to his Christian beliefs he will soon be fired. Those who quietly go along to get along teach the children that Christians are timid and lukewarm.

Then their is the problem of being an example to young and inexperienced parents. These parents may send their children to the local godless government school think that it can't be that bad since nice Mrs. Christian ( who loves her cat) teaches there.

If a Christian tries to sneak in a little Christian thought into to classroom, child will learn that Christians are sneaky and too timid to boldly proclaim their faith.

Will the work of real missionaries be harder later when the child is an adult or easier if throughout his entire godless government school experience the child's contact with Christianity has been with timid and/or sneaky Christian hypocrits who teach children to think godlessly?

OK...Now let's move on to conservatism:

1)**ALL** government schools in this nation are socialist-funded, collectivist, government-owed and run, and compulsory.

Simply by attending government schools children learn the following:

** Children learn that government has enormous police power to force citizen to pay for a social service their parents want for tuition-free. In other words, they learn to be very comfortable with socialism. If government can give the parents tuition-free schooling why not a thousand other socialist wants and needs? Socialist-funded government schools made FDR, Johnson, and now Obama INEVITABLE!

** Children learn to be very comfortable with government compulsion. Again, government schools made social security, thousands of bureaucratic agencies, and now Obamacare INEVITABLE.

** Children learn simply by attending their government school every day to be comfortable with collectivism. Instead of parents negotiating individually with private school principals in a private setting, it is the school board **COLLECTIVE** that makes decisions for all.

** Children learn to be comfortable with government ownership and management of their very lives and now, with “death panels, their deaths as well.

2) Government schools look like PRISONS!

In many ways children are treated like prisoners and have their First Amendment Rights strictly suppressed by the government in government schools. Speech, press, assembly, and free practice of religion are greatly controlled by government agents in these prison-like “schools”. Children are herded about to the schedule of the clock and bell. It is government agents who even tell when they can use the bathroom, exercise, eat, rest, and socialize.

In other words, government schools teach children to be compliant prisoners of the state. I simply can't see how a conservative can cooperate with that.

What should Christians and conservatives be doing?

Christians and conservatives should be doing all that they can to get their family and community's children OUT of the government schools and working to SHUT DOWN the godless, socialist-funded, compulsory, collectivist, government owned and run schools. That is where their energies should be directed.

Again: Every statement above is a **GENERAL** observation about **ALL** government schools and is NOT NOT NOT directed at any particular Freeper!

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the “other” articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

So don’t give them a clue. When I was in school, teachers didn’t let on if they were liberal or conservative. They were very professional back then and didn’t try to influence their students one way or the other. Students could figure it out for themselves, however, if they chose to do so.

Present both sides, and tell your students to think for themselves. Don’t waste your time trying to defend yourself.

There will soon be a purge of ALL conservative teachers.
The Marxist government can not tolerate anyone that does not adhere to the Communist doctrine.

Wouldn’t work. The judge would toss the case saying that conservatives are a tougher, more self reliant bunch than liberals who require hand-holding and constant caressing by their government.

Conservative teachers only work in private schools. No conservative would take government paychecks.

Sue the school district and school administration for tolerating and allowing the creation of a hostile work environment.

Be a nice guy and put an American flag decal and a NRA sticker on your truck. They’ll all get a case of diarrhea as soon as it becomes known.

No, you should be fired for excerpting and teasing a blog.

A young, conservative friend of ours (who happens to be a Canadian on track for citizenship next year) got her first teaching job. She was laid off after the first year, as were many others. The parents of kids she taught demanded that she be rehired - and she was.

She stands firm on her conservative beliefs and the parents appreciated her for it. Of course, this is Arizona. Still a lot of conservatives and cowpersons around. She considers herself our Canadian daughter. We are proud to have her in the family.

Well, on the other hand -
I'd fire you if you were a Liberal teacher.
(Of course, I'm a home-schooler, so it's a little different.....)
