Although educated as a lawyer, she has made her living as a writer and celebrity. In this case at least she does not show much capability as an actual legal researcher the way one has to practice such research if one actually tries cases.

“It’s called a lifelong struggle with bulemia and anorexia.”

I am going to take your word for it. Pretty awful.

From what I’ve read about this issue, good for her. The idea that you have to be a birther to be a good republican or a good conservative is ridiculous.

That Obama is hiding a disreputable past, I agree.

Trump is a registered Republican.

He's talking about running as an independent.

I think she is handling this topic the right way. If Coulter comes out and jumps on board with Trump it will peel away the credibility Trump has gained from the citizens.

The left is not that bright, my friend. Complex positioning of that sort would be completely lost on them (and anyone else who is foggy on this issue).

Besides the fact, Ann wouldn't intentionally destroy her credibility with conservatives and Tea Party activists over this, for Donald Trump's sake.

No - Ann has simply wandered off the reservation over the last couple of years, and is now lost behind enemy lines without a clue. She speaks their language now.

Bad enough that one major political party has no interest in the truth, but both major political parties?

Ann Coulter is a lawyer and as such should have an understanding of the difference between a "certified" document and what amounts to a form letter.

Having said that, I fail to see the importance of Barack Obama's birth certificate. His so called autobiography (Dreams of my Father) claims Barack Obama Senior as his father. By Jr's own words, his father was a Kenyan national and therefore a British subject. Since the US government did not recognize dual citizenship in the 1960s, that leaves him with only one possible US citizen parent, Stanley Ann. It has been said that she was 18 years old at the time of his birth and therefore one year shy of the 19 year old age of majority accepted at the time. That would prevent her from conveying citizenship. In any event Barack Jr. is most assuredly not a "natural born" citizen.

Since there seems to exist no accepted definition of "natural born" I'll stipulate and accept as true that he was born in the United States. I would assume that two citizen parents would be the minimum requirement for "natural born". That gives us a plausible minimum standard to work from. His mother is a shaky maybe, his father is a no on the citizen requirement. He spent 4 years in Indonesia with his adoptive step father as Barry Soetoro. He attended school and traveled under an Indonesian passport. That makes him a British subject and an Indonesian! As an added bonus, not only is Barack Obama not a natural born citizen, there is no evidence to support him as a naturalized citizen either.

If the evidence is on your side, argue the evidence.
If the law is on your side, argue the law.
If neither the evidence nor the law is on your side, pound the table!

Regards,
GtG

Who is her publisher and to whom are they connected? AC wants to publish books. All they would have had to do is say, “Ann, you want to publish this book? All you have to do is vehemently denounce anything having to do with questioning the BC. Say anything else you want, but you MUST denounce any and all birthers if and when asked.” How far-fetched might that be?

It’s just a game to them. The more sensational the more $$$$. At the end of the day they are all one, big, happy, cocktail party.

I am not going to question anyone’s conservative/Republican bonifides based on their belief in Obama’s birthplace etc. I will say however that anyone aware of the facts in evidence that doesn’t think the matter needs to be definitively resolved is not thinking critically, logically or clearly. The implications are too important to let it fade into oblivion.

Coulter has lost all credibility. I lump her in with the likes of neocon scum like Krauthammer and Rove.

I’m not a doctor (I don’t even play one on TV), but I believe she has hyperthyroidism. That’s why she is so skinny.

It can also change a person’s personality. My aunt had it and she became a different person for awhile.

I went to school, got my drivers license, my passport, and my marriage license with nothing but my COLB. Until this controversy erupted, I had no idea that there even was a "long form" in the vault.

*****

Did you ever play Little League, or do know friends or relatives who have played Little League?

I don't think Little League accepts short form birth certificates. It only accepts long form certificates with the doctor and hospital names on it.

I played Little League, and I had to present my long form birth certificate.

Have you noticed that Obama did not play Little League while growing up in Hawaii?

As I understand it, Obama was a very good athlete while growing up in Hawaii, and the reason why he was a very good athlete could have been because it seems that he was a little bigger and taller than many of the other children his age.

However, for some mysterious reason, we read nothing about Obama playing Little League in Hawaii, and we don't see pictures of Obama in a Little League uniform.

( As I understand it, Little League has always been very popular in Hawaii. I think that there was Little League in Hawaii in the 1970s. If Obama was born in 1961, then it seems that he would have been the right age in the 1970s to play Little League.)

Why is there no information that Obama played Little League? Could it be that Obama needed a long form birth certificate to register for Little League, but Obama did NOT have one?

So are the implications of Obama being a Red Chinese spy, or an extraterrestrial. However my critical thinking doesn’t cause me to run down those rabbit holes, either.

I’ve read plenty on this issue and I am extremely unconvinced.

Which is all the more reason to definitively answer the question. You don’t know, I don’t know. We ALL need convincing; Conservative, Lib and Indy alike.

Besides, our Alien overlords want to know too ;)

As far as I’m concerned, Ann has simply not looked into this issue in any kind of depth. She has done what I and many others had done over the past 2 years... giving superficial consideration to the matter and accepting the COLB/newspaper announcements/Hawaii officials’ statements as reason enough to not look into it any further.

While some Freepers and others (WND, etc) were on top of this all along, a lot of folks were basically ignorant of all the facts, until recently. Some of us finally started looking into the matter in more depth and have come to a totally different conclusion (that Obama has never provided adequate documentation to establish his eligibility under the provisions of the constitution).

At this point, I have no good reason to ascribe any other motivation behind Ann’s statements concerning the eligibility matter, other than ignorance. I think Ann really believes (based on ignorance of all the facts) the eligibility issue is a non-issue that can hurt the conservative cause.

I strongly disagree with Ann regarding the eligibility issue, BUT I’m not at all sure that she’s wrong about it hurting the conservative cause.

There are several examples where the Left and the willing accomplices in the MSM have been successful in marginalizing a group of conservative patriots and convincing the majority of our fellow Americans to basically ignore a set of facts. Swift Boat Vets? Sarah Palin is stupid? Supreme Court “selected” GW Bush in 2000? Global warming “deniers”? etc.

Will they be successful in doing that on this issue? They are in a full-fledged offensive to do that very thing as we speak.

We’ll see if they are successful.

I think she is handling this topic the right way. If Coulter comes out and jumps on board with Trump...

Ann didn't want to wade into to this previously, and in this she was joined by Levin, Limbaugh, Hannity, and just about everyone else of note. She is not going to 'me-too' with Trump, so she's just sticking to her line to be consistent.

Ann has been the first to the fight on so many loaded issues (single moms, McCarthy, etc.) so as to make other conservative pundits that many poltroons. We should cut her some slack.

If you can judge a person by their friends, what does that say about Coulter and her relationship with Bill Maher?

So, Bill Maher is not a big lib because he's friends with Coulter?

Guess James Carville isn't a liberal either!

Ann is still "right" 98 percent of the time!!
