Skip to comments.Video: Man Gets Arrested After Heckling Sheriff Arpaio at Tea Party Rally
Posted on 04/18/2011 1:07:50 PM PDT by Talkradio03
A man rides up on a motorcycle in front of the stage where Arpaio is speaking, he begins heckling calling the sheriff a 'a liar and a thief.' Arpaio's security detail moves in and soon after the man is wrestled to the ground hard and removed from the event at the tax day tea party rally in Arizona

Put the faggot in pink panties and feed him green sandwiches. Wait, the little faggot was probably already wearing pink panties and considering what he already puts into his mouth those sandwiches won’t bother him.
I don’t like the Sheriff either. I believe he is dishonest and crooked.
I’m a Sheriff Joe fan, but that was awfully excessive.
Responding ONLY to the content of the video:
The man in the hat had been disruptive from the moment Sheriff Arpaio got on the stage. He did the typical “socialist fist” part way through. Later, he headbutted one of the officers. Almost instantly I heard him say “whoa whoa, I didn’t mean to do that.” If he didn’t mean to do it, why did he have to try twice to make contact? He was obviously trying to get the exact kind of reaction he did, and attempting to have it be seen by the public.
Whatever my concerns with Sheriff Arpaio, I don’t begrudge the arresting officers in this situation for doing their job.
Agreed. The headline is a crock.
Removal from an event is not an arrest, and he did more than heckle. He was not removed until he made physical contact with an officer, and it was clear the contact was intentional.
I didn’t see the headbutt on the officer. If that was done- then I retract my prior criticism.
They should have dented that commies head with a wood shampoo.
Too bad Sheriff Joe’s boys weren’t in Wisconsin when the Union Goons kept screaming dirty words at Sarah.
You butt the Bull you get the Horn./
There was apparently no head butting. Is heckling an arrestable offence? Maybe he was asked by the police to move back, and maybe he did not listen to their instructions. I would like to hear the police side of the story. I do not like the jerk yelling and preventing a political speech.
It’s alright, actually. I had to watch the video multiple times to actually catch it, due to the contrast of the video and how everything happened. I kept trying to figure out why the man was saying “whoa, whoah, I didn’t mean to do that.” I think I replayed it about 6 or 7 times before I actually figured out what happened.
Actually that was pretty mild. Watch cop shows sometimes and observe how they take down every arrestee.
10 to 1 this guy is a Fed agent plant trying make the tea party look bad.
Yeah, until those over ambitious Sherriff Joe types start arresting you and your family for “enforcing the law”. Keep telling yourself that buddy and pretty soon the President Obama secret police will be arresting your neighbors and you will say the same thing, they are just enforcing the law.
Whatever happened to freedom of speech? The Sheriff has been stepping on some constitutional lines for sometime and he has started to turn OFF conservatives in the southwest.
“Im a Sheriff Joe fan, but that was awfully excessive”
Not after what happened in Tucson.
Which conservatives do you mean? The RINO kind who love amnesty? I can see Sheriff Arpaio turning off quite a few of them. I'm sure McCain has a big problem with him. But then McCain is a backstabbing RINO, not really a conservative.
and I don’t like you, newbie....take a hike moron, and let the real men do their work....long haired hippie type pinko fag...you probably even got a commie flag, tacked up on the inside of your garage
You know this how?
Friendly advice: Sheriff Joe is well liked here at FR so watch your step.
Specifics, please, on the dishonest and crooked. I don't need to LIKE someone to approve of their job performance.
It’s all good when it’s “your men” doing the dirty work eh? Well your Sheriff doesn’t exactly have a clean record and is under investigation by the FBI....
Joseph M. “Joe” Arpaio (born June 14, 1932) is the elected Sheriff of Maricopa County in the U.S. state of Arizona. First voted into office in 1992 Arpaio is responsible for law enforcement in Maricopa County. This includes management of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, county jail, courtroom security, prisoner transport, service of warrants, and service of process. Arpaio promotes himself as “America’s Toughest Sheriff.” He is well known for his outspoken stance against illegal immigration. Arpaio has become a flashpoint for controversy surrounding Arizona’s SB1070 anti-illegal immigration act.
Arpaio is currently the subject of FBI, United States Department of Justice, and Federal Grand Jury investigations for civil rights violations and abuse of power, and is the defendant in a federal class-action suit for racial profiling.
Arpaio has become controversial for aggressive publicity-seeking, retaliation against political enemies, abuse of power, civil rights violations, and financial mismanagement.
Arpaio was once widely popular among voters in Arizona. However, his popularity has waned since 2007.
Just another Donald Trump, only this guy is abusing his power and getting away with it.
I closed my laptop yesterday afternoon with your post (the third on this thread) the latest one. I was wondering what kind of reaction your post would elicit. When my laptop resumed this morning, I see that, faithfully, FR has given you no slack.
Your posts in defense of your original statement demonstrate a fairly obvious lack of critical thinking, to put it mildly. To react with ‘What ever happened to free speech?’ shows your youth in terms of logic and debate, as well as “length of service” here on FreeRepublic. Free speech? What does a constitutional freedom granted to its ctizens offering preventing the government silencing voices of dissent have to do with an inane, random thought posted on a privately held web site? This was the second clue that you’re not able to demonstrate FR-level thinking and analysis.
So then you finally post (rather, lazily copy/pasted - as evidenced by the non-linked footnotes plainly following the verbatim source) comments about how the sheriff is under investigation by the FBI for abuse of power and racial profiling.
FreeRepublic.com is the big leagues, champ. we make it a habit of understanding not just the ‘What’, but the ‘Why’s and the ‘Who’s. In this case, it doesn’t take too much to understand that the FBI investigation is merely a reaction by the Eric Holder Justice Department to the Sheriff’s effective tactics to curb crime within his jurisdiction.
As for posting wikipedia-sourced content (I am assuming that’s where your quote is from, but you didn’t provide a link), well, while wikipedia is fantastic for non-political matters (like what engines were available in 1969 Mustangs), it slants rather obviously to the left in matters of political discourse. That you used it as a source for argument here on FreeRepublic signals to me that you might be a member of the wrong forum.
If the heckler was instructed to leave private property and refused to leave (here in Nevada) it is an arrestable offense.
Is that the same department that's suing Arizona for passing a law allowing Arizona to enforce anti-immigration laws that are already on the books but completely ignored by the same justice department?
I don't see a problem..........
I’m sorry, I didn’t realize FR was a job that required strategic analysis or investment banker insight. I use FR as a place for news and to generally discuss how I feel or think like many others on here. Sheriff J is a crook - and a trumpster on many levels (his antics, and dressing up prisoners in pink jumpsuits). He has been the subject of many Federal inquiries; and these haven’t just happened under President Obama. Having just moved from AZ, I will say he has been losing a lot of support there because folks are catching on to his game. Generally speaking the best law or crime reducing effort that has happened in AZ are the relaxed gun laws. Other then that Sheriff J is a publicity whore and his crazy methods have not really produced a drop in statewide crime that has shown any real results statistically.

How you feel!!! BWAAAAHHAAAA!!! ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How many county sheriffs in any state have an overall effect on statewide crime statistics? And there's that word, crook, again. To me, that means someone who takes what is not his, or lies to enable taking by others for his own benefit. Since Sheriff Arpaio is percevied to be a right winger, would the leftist media not have published even the slightest hint of misbehavior? They certainly bitched enough about his treatment of prisoners.
I'm not saying you're wrong, but based on the evidence presented I'd have to vote not guilty.
So was the Bush administration. I seem to remember one such that lasted approx. 3 years at the cost of millions of dollars just to see which one of those thugs outed Valerie Plame as a "covert" CIA agent........
Like they say, just keep throwing crap on the wall, some of it's bound to stick......
Too bad we can’t send Sheriff Joe to Madison, WI to clean up the trash there.
