One of my Christian friends put it this way - there’s nothing wrong with celebrating the death of his actions. Well said I think.
I am a Christian and I am not the least bit conflicted about celebrating the demise of an epically evil monster.
I would rather dance in the street after the death of someone who killed thousands than dance because of the death of thousands.
I’m sorry, but I know which side of humanity I am on.
Well said, indeed.
Now the NSA & SS will not be visitin'.
AMEN!
WHEN THE WICKED PERISH, THERE ARE SHOUTS OF JOY! (Proverbs 11:10)
Negative. Celebration is in order if for no other reason than to raise the morale of a country that has been at war for too long and seen too little to celebrate for it. Plus, we killed Osama Bin Laden so yes, celebration is in order for that reason alone. That is not to say that we should relax our posture just yet of course.
Bin Laden is Dead!!!
LOL
“For every infidel they kill because a Koran is burned, we should take out a thousand mullahs. It’d only take burning a few thousand Korans to make a statement.”
I would go even further... They all need to be killed. But not out of hate or revenge, out of necessity...
Justice is not a speciality of liberalism. They have warped justice into abusive socialist meanings. Now they can not tell good from evil.
I’m sorry, but the scene outside the WH last night was surreal, and not in a good way. I really can’t put my finger on it other than it did seem someone rousted these kids out of their dorm rooms, on a Sunday night, withboffers of free beers and US flags to wave. I was most impressed with the reaction at the naseball game.
Maybe I’ve spent too many years following this site, but the group in front of the WH made me queasy.
I am a current DoD intel employee focused on that part of the world, and there was no fist-pumping or drunken revelry between me and my colleagues. We looked at each other, grinned knowingly, and got back to work
Nope, in fact it will be an observed holiday in our house!
“I pursued my enemies and overtook them; I did not turn back till they were destroyed. I crushed them so that they could not rise; they fell beneath my feet. You armed me with strength for battle; you made my adversaries bow at my feet.” - Psalm 18:37-39
Proverbs 11:10
“When the righteous prosper, the city rejoices; when the wicked perish, there are shouts of joy. “
Trying to paint Muslims dancing in the street after 9/11 as the moral equivalent of celebrating the death of a Satanic mass murderer is not going to work.
Epic Fail.
Spoil sport!
(It’s not wrong to celebrate a thing simply because greater things have not yet come to pass.)
Realistically, who wants to be the next Osama Bin Ladin?
If I had been there I would have been celebrating too. And I wouldn’t care what anybody thought about it.
I suspect that there are mullahs world-wide with the same death wish (those virgins and all...).
