I am sure there were those in the Intelligence Agencies that keep intell away from the Bush White House fearing that Bush would actually get Bin Laden from the individual officers up to the leadership.

Can you imagine the media’s response in the same situation?
They would have said he had invaded another country and murdered OBL in an illegal assasination without due process, that he was acting like judge jury and exectutioner, and demanded his impeachment

The roadblocks by the communists party (formally the Democratic Party) would have impeached Bush. Remember that the last years of the Bush Presidency the House and Senate were under the communists party. Impeachment would have been a given. Bush was very limited and he did the best he could under those circumstances.
