Really? What the hell is a PREBATE? That has to be the stupidest answer ever in a debate since Dukakis went on his rape diatribe in '88. Didn't you hear Rick just openly discuss the radicalism of islam and stuffing the water boarding issue down Ron Paul's throat? He is soft on domestic issues here and there, but he is no worse then the rest of the field, he may be even a bit better.

It is probably the most confusing part of the Fair Tax, which cannot be explained in a short post. The book explaining it is rather short, and if you really want to know how it works, it is cheap and quick and worth the read. Then decide.

I will say this: while I have mixed feelings on the Fair Tax, 99.9% of the drive by comments about it are based in ignorance of how it works. Is it perfect? No. Then again, it is a heckuva lot better than what we have now.

As I wrote, there is a lot to like about Santorum’s positions, but you don’t need me to come up with a list of former presidential candidates that, despite their qualifications, were rejected because they were not liked by the public. If Senator Santorum doesn’t lose his scowl and show a real - not scripted - sense of humor he will not win.

He’s a good conservative, but that is not enough alone.

A prebate is a device associated with the Fair Tax that allows people to effectively negate paying the Fair Tax on their purchases up to a give amount (probably the poverty level).
