And for myself, along with many, many other FReepers, we deeply resent having the site which we support through our donations treated as a "hit farm" by some blogger who is so detached from the community (except when he needs the traffic) that he can't even remember how long he has been engaged in this scummy behavior.

Yes, that's correct, I said "scummy." You've made it perfectly clear that you'd rather use FreeRepublic for hits rather than the open exchange of ideas, letting the financial rewards come as the natural result of open interaction rather than a clever marketing trick.

That makes you, no matter how long you've been here, a pimp. Nothing less, nothing more.

You are certainly welcome to your opinion. I do resent the “scummy” remark, but that is your opinion and you are welcome to it.

I write what I believe to be a quality product. If I post a blog (including my own when I do) I post it under Blog/Personal. If I post my own, I label it as vanity. There is no pretense of it being anything else.

If you want to attack me because I didn’t appreciate Larry being so flippant about other people’s property, then so be it. I have, and will continue to be polite as I have always been on FR - even with people I believe to be wrong.
