Congressman Jim Clyburn: Obama's Unpopular Because Americans Are Racists
Right Across The Atlantic ^ | Michael van der Galien

Posted on 05/26/2011 6:38:21 AM PDT by Michael van der Galien

Oh, nice. You’ve got to be impressed by Democrats’ love and respect for their fellow countrymen:

House Assistant Democratic Leader Jim Clyburn, the highest-ranking African-American in Congress, on Wednesday blamed most of President Barack Obama’s political problems on racism.

When asked about Obama’s re-election prospects, the enlightened gentleman answered: “I think they’re improving every day. I think the president has been a good president, a great commander in chief.” And yeah, that’s two consecutive sentences starting with “I.” Apparently, Clyburn and Obama have more in common with each other than their membership of the Democratic Party.

In any case, Clyburn continued:

“You know, I’m 70 years old,” he said. “And I can tell you; people don’t like to deal with it, but the fact of the matter is, the president’s problems are in large measure because of the color of his skin.”

You’d think this ‘argument’ got old at the very moment Obama was elected, but apparently not. After all, the race card is simply too effective. Democrats can use it whenever convenient, especially to drum up discontent among African American voters.

He has also found a great, great example of said racism:

Clyburn described a recent racist image of Obama that received widespread news coverage.

“When he sees his face being put on a chimpanzee’s body; do you think he didn’t see that?” Clyburn said. “And I suspect they send the same faxes to his office they send to mine.”

Good point, congressman. Especially because we know that ‘liberals’ never, ever!, did the exact same thing with George W. Bush’s head, when he was still president. No?

I’d love to know how many of those new hires are blacks. IMHO, the SC GOP are letting Clyburn off easy..they should be demanding every day that he intervene with Obama on this

Quite frankly, I don’t particularly like Obama’s white side either.

Being white, does that make me a self-hating white man??

"Yeah, good point. We’ll invite Clyburn to a “crackers for Cain” rally."

I like it - "Crackers for Cain" has a certain catchiness to it.

There was an anti-Bush website during his presidency called “Smirking Chimp.com.” Bush was referred to being a chimp constantly on that and leftist websites. Clyburn and other Dems conveniently forget that.

Cain/West, West/Cain, they are both conservative enough for me. Cain was giving the same answers to Chris Wallace on Sunday that I would have given. Skin color doesn’t matter in the least.

Yeah. It's like I always say, if it wasn't for double-standards, Liberals would have no standards at all.

And as I also always say, the only thing consistent about Liberals is their inconsistency.

Or, it could make like Dirty Harry. Remember what his partner said? "Harry doesn't play favorites, he hates everybody."

Just the coolest actor ever...

“Racism” = A lame spitball hurled by a black or liberal who is unwilling to admit he/she has lost the debate.

I don’t like Clyburn. He’s black and a racist, so am I a racist for not liking him? I’m confused.

People who see *racism* everywhere are themselves racists.

And they laughed at us when we said any criticism of Obama will be called racist. These Dems are as predictable as the sun rising in the East.

Read “You can still trust communists to be communists (and liberals and progressives, etc)”

and you’ll see exactly where their consistency lies:

If it advances Marxism, it’s a moral good, if not, it’s evil.

What President hasn’t been criticized? I guess Obama is supposed to get a pass.

And when obungler was popular with those same people in 2008, they were not racist, right?

Further proof that encouraging critical thinking has been missing from the publik skools for decades.

Then how did he become President in the first place?

Blacks voted 97% or something like that for Zero - and there is abundant evidence that this was done for pure racial reasons. So who are the real racists?

Sooo, then why do Tea Party people like Herman Cain???

Cuz he's an uncle tom, a house ni...., and in that case, those evil pubbies overlook his skin color.

Besides, since Cain is more than half black, his color, which is very black, can't be considered {if you can't follow that logic, don't worry, clyburn will explain it}.

Cain was at a TEA party event here in PA a few weeks ago and while I'm a big Sarah booster, the hermanitor was very impressive.

If she decides not to get in, I'll have no problem getting behind Herman {but we are all chipping in and are going to send Herman to michael jackson's doctor for a skin whitener}.
