Government interference in the free interactions of people(the market) is ALWAYS an attempt to cheat reality. Insane and childish. It’s a game of let’s pretend. Let’s pretend that everyone has earned and can afford a house. Let’s pretend that everyone is equally credit worthy. Let’s take money from some people and give it to others so we all can pretend that they are prosperous.
You can fool reality only for so long. Then it all comes crashing down. Reality always wins. Game Over.

Silver, gold, ammunition, guns, food, and good friends.
If you’ve got all of those you’ll do just fine.

It doesn’t help that our “leader” and “ruler” Obama is injecting instability at every level,,, intentionally.
His intent is to turn America upside down and in doing so is taking the world.
Prior to the bammer, America has always sought stability.

I had a Black guy engineer who when he started running told me the people in his Church believed he was the anti-christ. I told him Obama was just another run of the mill Communist. Now I am beginning to wonder.

And how did people fair with their “food and ammo” in the Great Depression I?
To: screaminsunshine
Don’t wonder. If you are, go to church with the black guy. On this one? They are in the know.

If it gets to what Obama wants the locusts will exceed your firepower. He is setting up anarchy.

Anyone would be able to afford a house without credit, if this were a generation of builders and mechanics. But it’s not, and the parasites with incomes directly and/or indirectly from government have regulated against private property and small manufacturing rights.
Nearly all who feel smugly now will be deposed by a default, and tomorrow will belong to the low-techs. What is politically correct now will be gone.
Have fun. Scoff or prepare. Enjoy the slide.

In the Great Depression people with good friends and solid families and tight church communities did okay.

It was good except for the Jesus sales pitch... I can understand how you feel. I used to feel the same way. It's kind of like trying to see the hidden image in one of those hologram design backgrounds. And then there eventually comes the moment when you see it.

Call me an optimist. I see the collapse of the present system as a kind of a good thing. It’s like vomiting to get bad food out of your stomach. Sure, it’s not pleasant while it’s going on but you feel better afterwards and you for dang sure feel better than if you hadn’t puked.

Many firearms and much ammunition were for sale or trade during the Depression--very cheap.
